Fairly new with only one season under its belt, this gory superhero comedy received rave reviews and enough viewership to warrant the production of a second season. It would be a crime to miss it.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

One of Amazon Prime’s flagship series, this hilarious and heartfelt dramedy from the creators of “Gilmore Girls” stars Rachel Brosnahan as a female comedian struggling to make a name for herself in the increasingly beatnik comedy scene of the late 50s and early 60s. Incorporating real-world comedy history into its plot, this is a must-see for Prime subscribers and now is the perfect time to binge, with three seasons already available and more on the way. Critically adored and subtly political, this show is one for the ages.

If you don’t want to be left out of the conversation, be sure to binge-watch every episode as soon as possible. You won’t regret it.

Carnival Row

This is a new addition to Amazon Prime and one that may interest fans of dark sci-fi and fantasy. Featuring Orlando Bloom as a detective investigating a string of supernatural murders, this is an intriguing and dark fantasy noir that will get you hooked and begging for more. Good Omens

This one-and-done six-episode mini-series starring David Tennant of “Doctor Who” fame is a supernatural and religious odyssey based on the book of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It’s an easy watch with a finite conclusion and serves as one of the premier examples of great storytelling offered by Amazon Prime.

For those who like drama, “Goliath” is an awesome starring vehicle for Billy Bob Thornton and showcases a down-on-his-luck but exceptionally talented lawyer trying to turn his life around and give up the booze.
