When it comes to finding somewhere to live for university, many factors are considered such as price, space, and distance from campus, which can often make it difficult to decide which one’s best suited to your needs. If you’re planning on studying at the University of Westminster, then take a look at the accommodations I have picked out just for you (to help ease that decision making ever so slightly)!

1. Marylebone Hall

Located in NW1, Marylebone Hall is a University of Westminster accommodation situated opposite Madame Tussauds, and with being just a stone throw away from Baker’s Street underground station, this is the dream choice for true London lovers. With excellent transport links, bars, and restaurants right on your doorstep, this accommodation is not only ideal for those located at Regent’s Street, Marylebone, and Cavendish campuses, but it also hosts panoramic views of central London. What a way to have your Weetabix in the morning, ey? A standard single en-suite room, with shared kitchen facilities of up to six people, is priced at just £224.49 a week, perfect for those wanting a Zone 1 experience without the price.

2. Harrow Hall

Just a five-minute walk from Harrow campus, and only 20 minutes away from Baker’s Street, prices start at £181.23 a week for a standard single en-suite room with shared kitchen facilities. This accommodation also hosts a campus restaurant, large common rooms, and laundry facilities, perfect for those looking for a true first-year experience!

The accommodation neighbours a large retail park with a wide range of stores and is just a two-minute walk away from Tottenham Hale Underground Station, meaning you can get to central London in only 15 minutes. The rooms come fully equipped with a ¾ bed, en-suite shower room and plenty of storage space, plus you are given the option to share a large, modern communal kitchen with other residents, or stay in your own private studio. The building consists of a gym, cinema and plenty of courtyard space, making it perfect for those that love a bit of luxury in their day-to-day lives. Standard en-suite rooms are £175 a week, and studios start at £205, both of which include a double bed.

Fancy just rolling out of bed and getting to the tube station in under 30 seconds? Well, Mannequin House is the perfect accommodation for that. Owned privately by Student Roost, and literally across the street from Blackhorse Road station, this student halls of residence is also just one stop away from Walthamstow Central and next door to a Co-Op. What more could you want? With an on-site games room, spacious living areas and a private courtyard, it’s no wonder that Mannequin House is rated extremely highly by students. Prices start at just £199 per week for en-suite, which also includes a small double bed or £289 for a studio.

7. CRM Grand Felda House

Another private hall of residence popular with University of Westminster students is CRM Grand Felda House. Located in Wembley and just a five-minute walk from the station, this accommodation offers nothing but space and great value for money. With the option of a studio flat, 4-5 bed cluster en-suites or twin rooms, Grand Felda House also hosts a cinema room and wait for it, a free-swimming and gym membership to their own private facilities. I mean, doesn’t that just sound incredible? Prices start at just £177 a week (I know – amazing, right?), meaning you’ll have plenty left over to check out the bars and clubs right on your very doorstep.

8. The Project at Hoxton

Another amazing, popular choice of student halls for University of Westminster students is ‘The Project at Hoxton’, an accommodation also owned by CRM. Located in Hackney, well-known for its incredible nightlife and a great sense of community, ‘The Project’ is just a short walk from Hoxton station and is greatly immersed in the lively borough of Shoreditch. Not only boasting luxury and modern rooms, but this student hall also offers a free on-sight gym, DJ booth and a sky garden that allow you to both live the classic student life or switch off from the world. The prices are slightly higher for this accommodation with it also being situated in Zone 1, with them starting at £218 per week for a standard twodio, but I think it’s definitely worth the extra spend!

9. iQ The Arcade

Another iQ favourite is ‘The Arcade’, perfect for all my social bunnies out there. Flats are split with up to six people sharing kitchen and bathroom facilities – fear not, there is free weekly cleaning, and each room comes with a single bed, plenty of study space and a washbasin. With a bustling atmosphere, ‘The Arcade’ is never short of anything to do, often hosting regular social events and housing hundreds of students from all London universities. It takes just 10 minutes to get to the central campuses and with prices starting at just £199 a week, it’s a great option for everyone to check out.

10. Sunlight Apartments

Perhaps a quieter, community-based private accommodation is more your style. Well Host offers award-winning Sunlight Apartments which do just that and more. Situated in Zone 2’s Bethnal Green, the student halls provide a luxury and modern feel with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities of up to four people, in addition to the spacious room hosting a ¾ bed with plenty of storage. Great for those who want to escape the hectic nature of the capital, contracts are £175 a week, so make sure to have a look!
