1. Warrender Swim Centre
Located near the centre of the city, Warrender Swim Centre is a historic Victorian facility, updated with some modern features (such as better showers!) but maintaining many of its beautiful original 1800s features, such as its gorgeous domed roof.
2. Wild West Edinburgh
People can live in this city for years without knowing about this particular spot. Found tucked away in a street off Springvalley Gardens in Morningside, this scarily accurate portrayal of a street in the Old West has its own saloon, stables and even a jail. Perfect for any curious explorer.
3. Snip and Sip
Hidden in a cupboard under some stairs, Snip and Sip is thought to be one of the smallest hairdressers in the world, if not the smallest. As the name of the salon indicates, customers are also offered a free shot of vodka with their haircut! Visit this remarkable spot found at Johnston Terrace for a hairdressing experience like no other.
4. Maison de Moggy cat cafe
Whether you’re in need of some animal therapy or just really love cute kittens and delicious locally produced tea and cakes, Maison de Moggy is the place to be. With a number of speciality cats roaming a relaxed, clean environment (food is not prepared anywhere near the cats!), enjoy petting, playing with and spoiling these beauties while nursing a cup of coffee.
