1. Cool car festivals!

From the 13th to the 15th of August there is a RETRO CARFEST taking place in Bicester Heritage, which is very close to Oxford. The Retro CarFest is a celebration of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, with a dash of the 1990s thrown in for good measure. It’s jam-packed with activities for everyone in the family. Take the ultimate nostalgia trip with music, films, gadgets, vehicles and legends from your childhood at this brand-new family festival, all in aid of UK Children’s Charities! 2. Marvellous music events!

There are lots of incredible artists coming to Oxford this summer! Some names include slowthai, who will perform at The Bullingdon on Tuesday the 7th of September, Tom Grennan will be performing at The O2 Academy in Cowley on the 20th of September! Other artists include Arlo Parks, who will be showcasing her special album launch, also at the O2 Academy on Tuesday the 17th of August!. Drum’n’bass MC turned singer-songwriter Billy Rowan, aka The Undercover Hippy, will be performing at the O2 Academy from the 25th of August to the 7th of November! Not only that, but the fantastic Paloma Faith is set to perform at the New Theatre Oxford on Thursday the 16th of September! Other soloists and bands include Declan McKenna and Squid. 3. Fun-filled festivals!

Numerous festivals are taking place in Oxford this summer! If you’re a fan of good food and fantastic music, then the Big Feastival 2021 is worth booking! This festival is held on Alex James’ stunning Cotswold’s farm, The Big Feastival unites music from the United Kingdom’s greatest musicians, prize-winning delicious street food, Michelin-starred chef’s live on stage with a wondering array of family activities in one big activity-filled weekend! Another festival occurring in Oxford this summer is The Oxford Shakespeare Festival. This festival is taking place on Monday the 12th of July, and it is an outdoor theatre experience held on the grounds of Oxford Castle & Prison. To ensure that The Oxford Shakespeare Festival is a safe environment for all its guests, social distancing and other precautionary measures will be implemented. During the festival, you can watch an array of marvellous plays! The Tomahawk Theatre will be presenting Twelfth Night, the Siege Theatre will be showcasing Much Ado About Nothing, and BMH Productions will present Midsummer Night’s Dream. 4. Brilliant Beer Bashes!

The BIG Oxford Beer Bash is set to take place in South Park on the 18th of September 2021! This festival is an intense extraordinary experience full of thirst-quenching local drinks, yummy food, and fabulous festival vibes! Discover the Beer Avenue of brewery bars, where the brewers themselves run the bars; interact with the experts of their trade and the makers of your favourite local beers to learn all about the process of brewing. The Distillery Bar will be open as well, with a superb selection of gins, wines, soft drinks, and hot drinks. Throughout the day, a variety of local DJs and entertainers will be performing to keep the festival spirit flowing!
