Being a student is stressful at the best of times, but then throw a global pandemic into the mix, and now you’re worrying about how on earth you’re going to find a job at the end of all of this. Whether you’re in first, second or third year, the future and all its possibilities can seem like a daunting prospect. Sometimes it feels like all your friends have their lives sorted while you’re just sat there binging Keeping Up with the Kardashians all day. With this in mind, we’ve had a look on LinkedIn to find some of the graduate jobs currently available in Liverpool.
NHS Graduate Training Opportunities
Needing little introduction, the NHS offers a range of graduate jobs, for all degrees. Maybe you’re suited for one of their accelerated programmes, which can lead to careers in medicine, radiography, speech and language therapy, amongst others. If you’re more technologically inclined, you may be suited to one of their digital, data and technology schemes, where you could work in; information systems; analysis; information governance; digital/IT project management or transformation; IT infrastructure, or security. Teach First Training Program
If you’re thinking of entering into teaching after completing your degree, then a quick look at Teach First’s website is a good place to start. Teach First boasts how its students have the opportunity to; earn a salary and pay no fees; gain internationally recognised teacher training qualifications; make a difference in the classroom from day one, amongst other things. The course lasts two years, with an optional third year if you should choose to complete a Masters. While an extremely challenging post-grad program, Teach First acknowledges how rewarding their students find it to help young people flourish in a positive environment. Content Writer, MLR Associates
MLR Associates is an ICT recruitment company, and they’re looking for a Graduate content-writer, who can ‘deliver compelling content, including blog posts, press releases, white papers, product descriptions, social media content, web copy and more’. MLR is looking for a post-graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or any related field, ideally with knowledge of the legal industry. Commercial Graduate Scheme, Princes
Everyone knows Princes for its tinned fruits, fish and meats, but did you know you could apply for a graduate scheme with them? Well, you can! Princes Limited offer a 24-month graduate scheme where employees rotate across buying, sales and marketing. They are looking for post-graduates with a minimum of 2:2 in Business Studies or a related degree. If you want to be working in the centre of Liverpool at Princes’ Liver building offices, then you can apply here, before 31st January 2021.
Junior Programmer, Aardvark Swift
Another one for the ICT-inclined among us, Aardvark Swift is offering a graduate scheme in junior programming ‘working alongside artists, designers and senior programmers to create high-quality cross-platform games’. To apply, you need either a first-class degree in Computer Games Programming (or a similar degree), or a minimum 2:1 in Computer Science. If this sounds like your dream job, then you can apply here.
Junior User Experience Designer, Yodel
If you’re a designer, then this grad scheme could be for you! Yodel claims to deliver a great career experience, not just parcels. This creative role involves ‘conducting user testing and running workshops to understand user requirements’, as well as a number of other roles, ranging from app design to keeping up with user experience trends and practices. The scheme requires a degree in design or a ‘user-focused related subject’, so if you tick this box, then apply here.
