The popular British show attracts many viewers across the country since it was released in 2015. It has been on every year since. Many have entered to find the love of their love. Some have succeeded, and some have failed. With the Love Island Series being rumoured to be having auditions right now, let’s look at where our winning Love Islanders are now and how their love is doing.
2015 – Jessica Hayes and Max Morley
Although the couple is known to be the first-ever duo to have won Love Island, their love only lasted for a bittersweet moment. Hayes and Morley have split up shortly after their romance on Love Island. Max rebounded quite quickly, moving on to date several other young ladies, including Zara Holland, who funnily enough went on Love Island Season 2. Jessica has since found a fiancé, with whom she has a son, Pressley. Recently, Jessica shared online that she has lost her second child, whom she named Teddy. The sad news has our heartbreaking for her.
2016 – Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyd
Cara and Nathan were Love island Season’s two winners from the start. Their romance and connection were skyrocketing through the roof – everybody saw that. After winning in 2016, Cara and Nathan went on to stay and live together but suffered a short split in 2017. However, Cara was due to give birth within weeks’ time, and the couple reunited and went on to get married. Massey and De La Hoyd now have a sweet family together with their baby boy Freddie. In 2020, they revealed they are expecting again!
2017 – Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies
Despite their on-screen romance, the couple has lasted much together after leaving the villa. However, they haven’t done too badly after their Love Island journey as it is estimated they have earned around £1 million since. Davies went on to become an actress on West End, starring in the musical 9 to 5. Cetinay managed to score a job as a presenter on This Morning.
2018 – Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer
The couple had an exciting on-screen journey, with many ups and downs. After winning Love Island, the couple had a short split and then reunited. They called it quits after 6 months of dating. The couple went on to live their lives with different people, with Jack informing of a baby girl, and Dani revealed she was expecting in 2020, expecting to give birth in 2021.
2019 – Greg O’Shea and Amber Gill
Amber has been the girls’ favourite on the show from the beginning; her attitude and sense of self got us all overwhelmed. After having a bad ride with firefighter Michael, Amber found her Prince Charming in Greg. However, the couple didn’t last very long. O’Shea and Gill broke up over text shortly after their victory. Amber has commented negatively on the split, with Greg avoiding commenting. Amber went on to define herself as the first single Love Island winner.
2020 – Paige Turley and Finn Tapp
The latest Love Island couple is still going strong, confirming their move to Manchester. Turley and Tapp have never swayed from each other in their look for love on Love Island. We are hoping this follows them in real life. The couple has spent their lockdown together in Paige’s hometown and are rumoured to be talking about wedding plans.
