Everyone is always saying how important fresh air and time outdoors is, but spending time indoors can be just as fun, it just depends on what you do. Here are a few fun indoor activities you can do in Nottingham to shake up your day and maybe even learn something new.
National Ice Centre
Nottingham is home to the National Ice Centre, where people of all ages come to learn how to skate, skate with their friends, or compete on the ice. They offer intensive courses alongside their usual lessons, and they also have lessons throughout the day so you could learn to skate or even play ice hockey on your lunch break. Or if you already know how to skate, you can spend your time on the ice your way, and some nights they also do club nights or foam parties. Prices vary depending on what you want to do, but students get a discounted price.
Lost City Adventure Golf
This 18-hole indoor golf course is perfect for everyone and is open every day of the week until 11 pm, or 10 pm on Sundays. The course also has its own Tiki Bar so that you can enjoy tropical cocktails and bars whilst you play, or afterwards you can even order from their Caribbean takeaway menu. Adult tickets are £8.50 each, but if you bring student ID it’s just £6.50 each, plus if you book in advance you get 10% off.
iLocked Escape Rooms
A great way to spend your time indoors is to try out an escape room, and luckily for us, iLocked in Nottingham has plenty to choose from. You and your friends could escape from a mummy in a pyramid, the alien in space, or find your way out of a submarine. This is the perfect way to spend a morning, afternoon or evening with your friends, family or colleagues, and definitely one of the best indoor activities in Nottingham. Prices depend on your group size, but the more people, the more the cost is split.
Cineworld
Everyone loves the cinema, as what could be better than eating popcorn and watching new films. Nottingham’s Cineworld has 14 screens and is based at the Cornerhouse, so it is close to restaurant, bars, and cafes for before or afterwards. For a standard adult ticket, it’s £11.20, but with student ID It’s £8.70. Or if you wanted to watch a film in IMAX, it’s £15.90 for an adult or £13.40 with student ID.
Planet Bounce
This inflatable bouncy trampoline park is perfect for all ages, making it a great place to go with your friends or family. You can bounce, slide and climb the park and have a great time. But the best time to go is on a Saturday or Sunday night when the lights go down, and the music gets turned up, as this 18+ session is basically a huge party on a trampoline.
Nottingham Bowl
Bowling is a great indoor sport, and Nottingham bowl is open every day of the week so you can bowl any day almost any time. For an adult, it costs £7.50 for one game, or if you have student ID, it’s just £5 for one game. They also have food and drinks at the alley, so you can eat pizza, have a hotdog, and even some ice-cream during your visit.
