Sheffield is a rising star in the vegan world, emerging as a northern hotspot for some of the best vegan food in the country. Today, we’ll cover which restaurants serve up the best vegan food the city has to offer.
1. Church, Temple of Fun

Founded by Sheffield’s own Bring Me The Horizon frontman, Oli Sykes, this is a vegan paradise. The menu is full of delicious vegan junk food ranging from loaded fries to burgers, popcorn cauli bites and more. The decor is inspired by South American religious iconography, so it’s not just the food that’s insta worthy. Church also frequently hosts events such as film nights, to be enjoyed with their array of cocktails and ‘freakshakes’. 2. Make No Bones

Established in 2013, this vegan food business was previously at Church before moving to the Old Workshop. The menu is full of vegan treats including seitan ribs, ‘chicken’ wings, fried pickles and much more junk food, all washed down with a pint from the all-vegan bar. It is one of Sheffield’s highest-rated vegan spots with a 5-star Happy Cow rating.
3. Dishi

This Asian inspired eatery has an ever-changing menu, with new dishes every day. Their award-winning chef serves up their elevated food through their 7-course set menu, which leaves diners raving.
4. Ajanta’s Vegetarian
Address:704 Abbeydale Rd, Sheffield, England, S7 2BL
This takeaway offers great value, tasty Punjabi food. It’s 100% vegetarian and 100% traditional, with recipes handed down over generations. From daal, thali trays at just £5 and even curries including Quorn, this veggie spot should be next on your list.
5. DANA

DANA is a fully vegetarian cafe located in the popular student area, Crookes. The small location packs a punch with a menu full of breakfasts, open sandwiches and cakes. They also offer an array of loose leaf teas and delicious coffee. Further, it is a non-profit business supporting the local Buddhist centre and community charities such as SAFAR, which helps people to recover from alcohol abuse, so you can enjoy some great veggie food whilst giving to a good cause.
6. Just Falafs

This middle-eastern inspired restaurant is homemade and 100% vegan. Their newly introduced set menu which includes shawarma plate, a drink and their dessert of the week is a bargain at only £10. A diverse and growing menu, Just Falafs is the perfect place to take away or eat in.
7. South Street Kitchen
Address: 19-20 South St, Park Hill, Sheffield, England, S2 5QX
This independent cafe is located in the rejuvenated, trendy Park Hill. The kitchen serves speciality coffee and middle-eastern inspired vegetarian and vegan food. Open late on Fridays and for brunch on Saturdays, you can enjoy your food in their garden which overlooks the steel city.
8. Blue Moon Cafe

Winner of the Social Sheffield Award for Best Vegan/Vegetarian Food 2018 this vegetarian restaurant is a great option for vegan dining in the city centre with its location right next to the cathedral. Each day they have two vegan and one vegetarian dish on offer including salads, stew, rice, pastries, cakes and more.
9. Sunshine Deli

The Sunshine Deli is renowned for its large menu of British classics and more unique options. From vegan fish and chips to mock chicken buckets, if you have comfort food on the mind, check out Sunshine Deli. 10. Pom Kitchen
