As we approach the end of lockdown and have a heatwave predicted for summer, there’s so much to look forward to. Here are the best things going on in Sheffield.

The annual festival in Hillsborough Park takes place from the 23rd to the 25th of July 2020. The official line up has not yet been released, but if last years is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat as Catfish and the Bottleman, Ian Brown and the Madness headlined last year. There are club nights every night after the main festival finishes to keep the party going.

From the 21st of June, The University of Sheffield’s SU has organised two weeks of events following lockdown, including all our favourite night’s out, including Roar and Pop-Tarts. It’s bound to be messy with two whole weeks of nights out but worth it after a year of lockdown.

The Leadmill has also organised a week of reopening parties to celebrate the end of Coronavirus. The lineup includes all your favourites from Sonic Saturdays, Leadmill Fridays and Club Tropicana, meaning you can enjoy a cocktail to some indie tunes once again.

We cannot wait to continue the Sheffield rite of passage by crawling our way down West Street again. Tiger Works, Bierkeller and West Street Live are calling our name ready for post-lockdown.

9. New businesses

Remember to support local businesses that will open post-lockdown too. Sheffield city centre has already lost legendary businesses like The Devonshire Cat, so we’re excited to visit new ones. Try the Wildcard Bar and Grill to open on Ecclesall Road, the stationary shop Fred Aldous and a new takeaway, the Orange Bird.

Everyone is looking forward to getting out post-lockdown, and Sheffield has so much to offer. We can’t wait to see you there!
