Romsey, a small historic village 10 minutes train away from Southampton, is a quaint little place that you may never find yourself in. However, if you do live nearby and are looking for a feline fix, then you’re in luck. There’s a cat cafe in Romsey. The cafe is called Paws for Thought, and they are not only a cafe but a venue for cat-related events too, as well as being a cat rescue themselves. You can take a look on their website to see the cats they have helped to home.

The cats are 2 sets of siblings. The 4 girls came first in 2018 to the cafe, and then were followed by the brothers later on. Both groups come from Every Life Counts, a Romanian rescue shelter.

The menu

If you do go and visit Paws For Thought, you can eat and drink whilst you’re there. The cafe offers 2 hour long afternoon teas for £25 per person, or their individual menus, where you can find toasties, paninis, sweet treats, hot and soft drinks.

Events

The cafe open for other events to raise awareness and money for cat charities, like Cat Yoga, Cat Bingo, Quizzes, Pamper Evenings and Games evenings.

Booking

You don’t have to book before, but with only 4 seating areas, it may be worth it. It’s £5 per person to get into the cafe. The money is used to cover bills for the cats, such as food and insurance. You can’t take a child under 6 in, but any child over 6 will get a free juice whilst they’re sat in with you.
