Christmas is finally just around the corner! Christmas markets are open, mulled wine is being sold again, and everything is starting to get cosy. 1. Swansea Christmas parade
The Swansea Christmas parade takes place every year, and it’s definitely a crowd favourite amongst the people of Swansea. This year, it’s on the 19th of November, and although the event starts at 5pm, the actual parade won’t start until later. As you can imagine, this parade is so popular, that all of the streets get crowded, so if you want to guarantee a good spot, you may want to get there early. The route starts on Oystermouth road, going past Castle Square and onto the High Street, then going through Orchard Street and finishing on The Kingsway. There are loads of cool things to see during the parade, so you won’t want to miss it!
2. Waterfront Winterland
This year, Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland is open from the 15th November all the way until the 2nd of January! There’s so much to do for everyone, such as ice skating, rides (including a Ferris wheel!), a bar, and small fires to toast some marshmallows! Entry is also completely free, but you will have to pay for anything else, and buy tokens there for any rides you want to go on. This place does get busy in the evenings, so there isn’t always enough tables to sit around to enjoy your drinks, but the atmosphere is always incredible, so it’s definitely worth going!

3. Christmas market
The Christmas market is a favourite in any city, so you definitely have to go and visit Swansea’s! This year, the Christmas market is open from the 24th of November, until the 20th of December, giving you plenty of time to do some Christmas shopping. You can expect to get Christmas decorations, small treats, jewellery, house decor, and so much more! There will also be a Bavarian bar, selling all of your favourite hot drinks! The stalls are open from 9:30 to 5:30 Monday-Saturday, and 10:30 to 4:30 on Sundays.

4. Winter Light Trail
If you’ve never been to a winter light trail before, then this is the perfect year to try out the one in Margam Park! Hosted by Luminate Wales, during the evening, you will walk along a trail that’s full of colourful lights and sights to see! Margam Park is such a stunning place to visit, and the winter light trail just makes it that more magical. You will also be able to have some mulled wine, small treats, and some toasted marshmallows as well! Adult tickets are £16.75 through Monday to Thursday, and then from Friday to Sunday they increase to £21.25. If you feel like going, then book your ticket now!

5. Bingo Lingo
Looking to win some prizes this Christmas? Then the Christmas-themed Bingo Lingo might be for you! This Christmas, there are 4 Bingo Lingo events happening in Swansea, but you better buy your tickets fast, since one event has already sold out! Two events are taking place in the Patti Pavillion, where tickets will cost you £15.65. However, if you fancy going to the bigger event in The Arena, then you’ll have to pay £26.65 for a ticket. It may sound expensive for Bingo, but the prizes you can win and the atmosphere definitely makes it one of the best Christmas events in Swansea for 2023.
6. Viva Las Brangwyn
The Viva Las Brangwyn event is a huge Christmas party, happening in the gorgeous Brangwyn Hall. This event is being hosted on 4 different nights, on the 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th of December, so you have plenty of options to choose from. The evening will start at 7pm, and finish at 12:30. During the night, you will have a 3-course meal, and then there will be a photographer, live music, a casino, and more! Although tickets are £48, there is a lot being offered, so if you fancy treating yourself to a nice night, then this might be the perfect Christmas event for you!
