With the weather getting warmer, nothing beats a cold drink on a hot day. Now is the perfect time for pubs, beer gardens, and gin bars.
Whether you’re a local looking to explore your city’s best-kept secrets or you’re studying in Swansea, finding the perfect spot for a delicious gin is crucial! So, if you’re looking for a gin bar in Swansea to relax, party at, or just to taste some gin, then we’ve made a list of the best ones for you!
1. Gin and Juice
Gin and Juice is a chain, so you may have heard of them already. Their bar is in Mumbles, and their rooftop bar has the most perfect view of the sea. But you can also catch them at The Grill Restaurant, Mumbles, Secret Garden, Mumbles, and Rum & Fizz, Mumbles (just to name a few!).
If you haven’t been to Gin and Juice before, all of their bars are decorated with floral hangings and such, so it really is a beautiful place to go to! They have a huge selection of gins, as you can imagine, ranging from Beefeater to Bombay Sapphire. It gets pretty busy on nice evenings, so make sure to book if you fancy going!
This is definitely one for the gin lovers, and of course, it doesn’t have to be a special occasion to treat yourself at Gin and Juice Swansea. Believe me, you won’t regret it, the incredible views are worth visiting alone.
Address: Gin and Juice, Oyster Wharf, Mumbles, Swansea, SA3 4DN
2. Peppermint
Although technically a cocktail bar, Swansea’s Peppermint offers a variety of gins, as well as cocktails and delicious food. They do get pretty busy though, so it might be worth booking a table to ensure you don’t miss out.
If you’re planning an event, Peppermint can be the perfect spot to celebrate, whether you’re celebrating a birthday or trying your hand at a cocktail masterclass.
Address: 13 – 17 Wind St, Swansea SA1 1DP
3. Hogarths
Although Hogarths may look like a nice pub, it actually is a gin bar! They have loads of gin on offer, all of which you can see on their website. Hogarths also have a really good selection of tonics and mixtures to go with your gin, such as elderflower tonic and pink grapefruit tonic! It’s definitely a great place for gin, but if you’re looking for a fancy night out, this probably isn’t the place for it.
Address: 2-3 St Mary St, Swansea SA1 3LH
4. Cygnet Distillery
If you’re looking for a different kind of gin bar experience, then Cygnet Distillery is for you! You can book a guided tour around the distillery, where you can learn everything about the gin and how it’s made, whilst also getting to try some for yourself as well! Obviously, this isn’t your typical gin bar, but it is a great place to try some gin and have fun on a tour as well!
Address: 1 York St, Swansea SA1 3LZ
5. Gower Gin Company
The Gower Gin Company is another distillery and gin bar in Swansea. They make their own gin, all of which you can try at their gin garden in Gower, which obviously has amazing views. They make a different selection of gins, from Sunflower Gin to Bara Brith Gin, so there’s definitely some unique options to buy. However, this place is a bit far from Swansea city centre, so it can be pretty difficult to get to if you don’t have a car.
Address: Highfield, Port Eynon, Swansea SA3 1NL
