If you’re a fan of traditional escape rooms, then why not take it to the next level with their range of VR escape rooms? In either groups of two or four, you can be transported to a completely different world as you try to escape. Enter code STUDENTMINDS at checkout to book a game from £10 per person! (T’s & C’s Apply) The escape rooms are located at meetspaceVR, which definitely delivers some of the best VR experiences in Nottingham. It’s located at Victoria Centre in the middle of the city centre, but as a chain brand it has additional sites in Wembley, Birmingham, Thatcham and Manchester.

VR Arcade

Alternatively, why not try out the VR arcade? Four people can take part, and you can choose from 30 or 60 minutes worth of gaming. There is a wide range of games to play from Creed Rise to Glory to Paranormal Activity The Lost Soul to Fruit Ninja. It’s a great activity to do with friends or even an interesting new first date idea – it’s definitely a different way to learn about someone. Prices start from £25 per person. 

VR Digital Play Wall

Some of the other options you can do at meetspaceVR include a digital play wall, where up to six people get to play a “life-sized games console” for £5 per person for a 15-minute session. A fun time with some friends that also acts as a workout – what more could you want?

VR Quest

Another area to explore at meetspaceVR is the VR quest arena. For groups of four, the quest arena is packed with immersive virtual reality fun and is made with team focus and cooperation in mind.  This is also priced at £5 per person for a 15-minute session, which makes both the quest and digital play wall perfect for us students, because if there’s one thing we don’t have much of, it’s money. 

Zero Latency

It may be in the same building as meetspaceVR, but Zero Latency is an experience in its own right. It has sites across the world, including Australia, Canada, France, India and the UAE, so you know it’s a success. You can team up with up to eight people to take down either zombies or rogue drones. It’s a  great activity to do with friends and certainly brings a welcome change to the routine study-eat-club-repeat schedule.

Plus, if you use the code “VISITNOTTS22” from the Visit Nottinghamshire website, you get 20% off your booking. For a 30-minute session, it will cost you £24.95 per person at an off-peak time or £29.95 at a peak time (from 5pm onwards on weekdays and all-day weekends). It’s a little bit more expensive than some of the other options on this list, but with that code, you can shave off £4.99 (off-peak time) or £5.99 (peak time) off each person’s ticket. It’s definitely worth making the most of those deals. 

So, these are some of the best VR experiences in Nottingham. There may not be the biggest range of options available, but if you’re looking to try out a virtual reality experience for the first time, these can definitely do the trick.
