This premier indoor climbing centre has over 800 square metres of climbing facilities, including a bouldering area in the main hall, the tower, and a training room. There is also a group room for beginners and kids so you can learn the ropes before trying the more difficult walls.

It costs £8 for an adult or £4 for a student, but an extra £5 to hire equipment, which includes boots, a harness and belay device.

The Depot Climbing Centre

This rock-climbing gym has a huge bouldering centre and is set in the former tram depot. It also has a shop and café, so if you get there a little early there’s still stuff to do and a place to get a drink after.

If you go on a Monday or Friday students only pay £5, whereas the rest of the week its £7.50. If you’re a complete beginner you must also have an induction so you can learn how to be safe whilst having fun.

Whether you want to do some climbing alone, with friends, or even on a work night out, Clip n Climb is the place for you. They have dozens of climbing based activated for all ages, so everyone can have fun and stay fit.

It costs £12.50 for a session no matter your age or occupation, however prices vary for birthday parties or group nights out.

NTU City Sports Centre

If you are a student at Nottingham Trent University and enjoy climbing then look no further, as the university has its own 30ft climbing wall suitable for beginners and the more advanced climbers. It only costs £2, unless you are a NTU Sport member then you don’t need to pay.

The David Ross Sports Village
