London has clearly made a big impression on the German-born producer Fabich.

His new EP, Friend’s Story (out March ), draws on tales of strife and success in the English capital after he moved here a few years ago.

It’s also been an exciting time for him. He’s just released his latest single, What I Wanted, an emotive exploration of trust issues with vocals coming from Belgian-born singer Moli.

So, to find out more about the producer’s English life, we asked him to tell us his favourite places to visit in London.

My favourite pub in London is… The George & Vulture (Hoxton), which is just next door to mine and also The Red Lion (Leytonstone) which makes a really great English Sunday roast…

My favourite club in London is… XOYO (Shoreditch) it’s a small venue in east London and they have amazing bookings ranging from disco to techno and hip hop.

My favourite view in London is… The view from the terrace of ACE hotel! ACE hotel (Shoreditch) is also fun to chill during the day or grab some drinks after work.

My favourite curry house in London is… I really like Dishoom (Shoreditch) but I need to try much more!

My favourite shop in London is… The Good Hood (Shoreditch), it’s a little fashion and interior design shop in Shoreditch. I bought some new trainers there the other day and love them!

My favourite place for a date in London is… It either has to be Victoria Park (East London) with it’s nice little coffee places or Borough Market (Borough).

My favourite takeaway in London is… Beigel Bake in Brick Lane, it’s super cheap and tastes amazing. It’s open 24/7 and has been around for a couple of decades.

The best thing about London is… The people and culture, everyone is really open-minded and you easily meet like-minded people. London’s music scene is my favourite in the world, too, so I’m happy to be here.

The worst thing about London is… Weather and rent! I try to go somewhere sunny because of that every couple of weeks, I need the sun!

The three words I would use to describe London are… International, fun, friendly.
