Fed up of scrolling through Hinge, Bumble and Tinder looking for love? You’re not alone. In fact, one man has gone to new lengths in his search for a wife. Muhammed Malik is a 29-year-old entrepreneur who lives in London. Faced with the prospect of matched made love, he has taken his romantic endeavours to the city streets instead, in the form of billboard ads to find love.

The 29-year old’s advertisement features on billboards across London and Birmingham. The ad features a photo of him, alongside the caption, ‘Save me from an arranged marriage’.
Anyone who has been unlucky in love knows how defeating dating can be. There are the hours wasted swiping left on Tinder. Then there are the spectacularly catastrophic blind dates and guys in clubs asking for a cuddle. Well, desperate times call for desperate measures.
In fact, Muhammed Malik told the BBC that he had tried a number of conventional ways to meet women before deciding on using billboard ads to find love. He revealed that he had tried a few dating apps but they left him feeling ‘quite awkward’- Sigh, we know the feeling. The ad, which is set to stay up until Jan 14, is his biggest attempt ever to find love.
Why not set up a website to find love?
In addition to his photo, an address to a website is also listed on Malik’s billboard advertisement. The site, Find Malik a Wife, is the centre of his campaign for love. The site features a video of the 29-year-old, as well as some information about who he is and what he is looking for. We love the originality! There’s also a FAQ section at the bottom of the homepage, where users can ask questions such as, ‘is this a joke?’. A question to which he replied, Nope, I’m serious. I’ve been searching for a partner who’ll work with me to grow our love for each other and Allah. If this sounds like you, please get in touch.’
Could you be the one?
Love what your hearing? Well, maybe you have found your soulmate. Malik describes his ideal partner as a Muslim woman in her 20s ‘who’s striving to better her deen’. He did confess that he was open to any ethnicity but he has a loud Punjabi family, so they would need to ‘keep up with the bants’.
