Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink, one of the highlights of the festive calendar, is back this winter with its largest rink ever.

Tickets are now on sale for the iconic open-air ice rink, which will feature an even larger ice rink, giving skaters more room to take in the spectacular views of the enchanting riverside palace and former home of King Henry VIII.

New measures have been introduced this year to make sure that everybody can enjoy the Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink Covid-securely. There will be hygiene standards fit for a king or queen, with enhanced cleaning regimes and handwashing sanitation facilities available. Meanwhile, staggered skate sessions will ensure fewer people on the ice at any one time.

Skating is hungry work and visitors can reserve their tables and sharing platters online at the socially distanced Ice Rink Café & Bar, provided by Miss Polly’s, who will be serving up hearty, winter-warming sharing platters, indulgent sweet and savoury treats.

and a wide range of festive beverages. After taking a spin on the ice, visitors can make a whole day of it and discover 500 years of history inside the Palace, from the grand State Apartments to King Henry’s magnificent Great Hall and Tudor kitchens.

Special events and offers will take place throughout the season, including 15 per cent discount for key workers and students during off-peak skating sessions from 4 to 17 January.

Rob Derry, Managing Director of Events at Arena, the ice rink management company said: “The safety of our guests is always paramount, so we’ve implemented a host of measures to make the ice rink COVID-19 secure.  We comply with the Gold Standard for COVID-secure temporary ice rink attractions, which has been created by a consortium of industry experts and incorporates measures that are in line with, or exceed, government guidelines.”

Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink is open daily from 5 December 2020 to 17 January 2021. Closed Christmas Day. For more information and to book tickets, visit www.hamptoncourtpalaceicerink.co.uk.
