Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink, one of the highlights of the festive calendar, is back this winter with a host of exciting features to delight festive revellers at the Tudor Palace.

Tickets are now on sale for the iconic open-air ice rink, which will feature an even larger ice rink – giving skaters more room to take in the spectacular views of the I enchanting = riverside palace and former home of King Henry VIII.

New measures have been introduced this year to make sure that everybody can enjoy the Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink safely. There will be hygiene standards fit for a king or queen, with enhanced cleaning regimes and hand washing sanitation facilities available. Meanwhile staggered skate sessions will ensure fewer people on the ice at any one time.

Skating is hungry work and revellers can satisfy their cravings at the Ice Rink Café and Bar, provided by Miss Polly’s, tucking into some hearty winter warming dishes, indulgent treats and a wide range of beverages. After taking a spin on the ice, visitors can make a whole day of it and discover 500 years of history inside the Palace, from the grand State Apartments to King Henry’s magnificent Great Hall and Tudor kitchens.

Rob Derry, Managing Director of Events at Arena, the ice rink management company said: “The safety of our guests is always paramount, so we’ve taken a host of measures to make the ice rink COVID-19 secure, all comply with the Gold Standard for COVID-secure temporary ice rink attractions, which has been created by a consortium of industry experts and incorporates measures that are in line with, or exceed, government guidelines.”

Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink is open daily from 20 November 2020 to 3 January 2021. Closed Christmas Day. For more information and to book tickets, visit www.hamptoncourtpalaceicerink.co.uk.
