How to beat the January Blues in Sheffield

Getting outside, even if it’s freezing, is great for your mental health so why not combine a warming drink with a walk round one of Sheffield’s parks or even the Peak District. We love taking a stroll around Endcliffe Park and Porter Brook before a coffee from the Instragrammable Pom Kitchen.

3.  Try something new

When you’re down trying something new can give you a new lease of life, try painting in one of Sheffield’s pottery painting cafes like Pottering Around, terranium building in Crooke’s plant shop Small Plants or even pick up a ball of wool from Knit & Sew in the Moor Market.

4. Learn more about Sheffield

Go to the museums, visit the art galleries and learn loads more about the city you now call home. Feeling like you know and love your university city can change your mental health for the better because you’ll always have something to do.

 

5. Find a cosy cafe

There’s so many great independent cafes in Sheffield. Shelter from the cold with a good book and decent coffee in one of Sheffield’s best. Check out Maramduke’s, Steam Yard, or Copper Pot.

With so many things to do in the new year, there’s no reason to have the January blues in Sheffield.
