Inspired by the nation’s love of music, food and entertainment, John Lewis & Partners has announced the launch of Roof Fest London at The Gardening Society. Set high above the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street,  one of the largest rooftops in London has undergone a festival makeover complete with bookable boho and flower dens, the Caravan stage, and a variety of delicious cocktails and mouth watering street food to keep Londoners dancing the day away.   Throughout the summer season, revellers will be treated to headline performances from DJs, artists and acoustic musicians. Visitors can also enjoy delicious Filipino food from Bong Bongs Manila Kanteen, formerly known as BBQ Dreamz, and refreshing cocktails from Background Bars, who are set to bring the flavours of summer to Roof Fest London.The rooftop will welcome its first festival goers on the Easter bank holiday weekend, opening its doors on Friday 19th April. Following on from the momentous success of last year, John Lewis & Partners is presenting Oxford Street’s first festival in the sky. The summer long celebration draws inspiration from hazy festival days, elevating guests into an immersive world of boho chic. Hosting an eclectic range of acts and activities, from energetic live musical performances to extravagant dining experiences, masterclasses and cinema screenings, the rooftop will offer an escape from busy London life for all.


The Garden Den at Roof Fest London  

Kicking off the bank holiday weekend in style, the rooftop will play host to singer, songwriter and producer Femme on Saturday 20th April, alongside  performances, DJ sets and festival-themed makeovers throughout the weekend. With Thursdays labelled as the new Friday, Roof Fest London’s curated summer programme will see DJ sets taking over the roof every Friday and live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday to keep revellers partying all summer long. With a plethora of music-centric dates across the season such as Pride, Carnival and the return of Glastonbury, Roof Fest London will be the go-to location for festival fans looking  to experience a pre-party of their own. 


Bong Bong’s Manila Kanteen: Lechon Kawali – Crispy Fragrant Pork Belly 

‘My Million My Million Pound Menu 2019 winners, BBQ Dreamz, will be launching Bong Bong’s Manila Kanteen for this year’s Roof Fest London. Commended for their authentic Filipino family recipes, festival goers will be treated to celebrated dishes such as the Lechon Kawali – Crispy Fragrant Pork Belly, Adobo Glazed Chicken, Grilled Aubergine Satay Curry and Asian Roots Salad. New for this year, John Lewis & Partners is introducing ‘walk-in Wednesdays’ to ensure festival goers will have an opportunity to try the delicious Filipino inspired delicacies on offer, even if they haven’t had a chance to book.  For those who prefer more intimate dining, an exclusive offering will be available for groups of 4 to 10 in one of the bookable Dens, with the Boho, Garden and Cherry Blossom Dens as well as the Caravan Stage, there’s a style to suit everyone.

Londoners looking to kick back and soak up the festival vibes can enjoy a variety of refreshing cocktails from Background Bars at Roof Fest London. Easing into the warmer evenings  Summer of Love (£10.50) with Beefeater Gin, Elderflower, Lemon, Cucumber and Fentimans Soda is set to deliver the perfect  sundowner whilst Chilli Margaritas, Pyramid Spritzs and the signature Roof Fest London cocktails (£10) made with Havana 3yo rum, Banana Liquor, tangy passion fruit and mint will leave guests feeling as if they’re sipping on the delights of summer.
