London’s leading dance festival South West Four has unveiled a third day for the first time in its 17-year history, with Armin Van Buuren headlining the newly launched Friday with his A State of Trance (ASOT 950) event heading to the capital with the full line up announced, with trance icons such as Andrew RayelFerry CorstenGareth EmeryVini Vici and many more.

Across the weekend South West Four have also announced the latest wave of acts to join them on Clapham Common, spanning across dance, hip-hop, drum and bass and afrobeats. Saturday see’s grime innovator Dizzee Rascal, Area 10 label boss MK and  Aussie DJ and producer Dom Dolla take the stage, whilst Grammy-nominated trio Disciples, plus, all round super star Idris Elba is back for the third time and ready to turn the heat up once again. Two tastemakers Zeds Dead and NGHTMRE also join the Saturday billing promising an electrifying b2b set along with Swedish powerhouse Alesso, whilst pre-eminent time travelling DJ Hot Dub Time Machine will no doubt bring an energetic performance.

Sunday offers something for the D&B heads, with festival exclusives from Sub Focus and Wilkinson who will go back-to-back and Holy Goof who will bring his immersive project ‘Globes’ to SW4. Electronic duo Hybrid Minds and gothic inspired London DJ Dimension, plus Metalheadz co founder Goldie will all join already-announced ANDY C, who will be celebrating a decade with the festival on the common. Leading the wave of UK afrobeat inspired artists, Sunday will also host rapper Tion Wayne and sultry songstress RAYE and in a nostalgic throwback So Solid Crew will be celebrating 21 years as the original pioneers of UK garage.
