First off is Wireless – an incredibly popular festival which has been going strong since June 2005. It is very common for tickets to get sold out immediately, so it is very important to book your tickets as soon as possible. It’s one of the London festivals in July that everyone looks forward to all-year round, ready to celebrate summer with famous acts.

Arguably the best festival in London, Wireless 2024 edition will welcome Doja Cat, Nicky Minaj, J Hus, Sean Paul, 21 Savage, Future and many others still to be announced.

A single-day ticket is £94.60 plus booking fee. If this is too expensive to pay all at once you have the option of paying incrementally over 3 months. This is perfect if your student loan has been run dry!

Junction 2 Festival

When: 26th – 28th July 2024

Location: Boston Manor Park, North London

Price: From £69.50

Junction 2 festival is back and this year looks set to be better than ever before. As usual, it will host an array of artists across the electronic spectrum from a more eclectic lineup on Saturday, through to a techno-influenced bill on Sunday. The monumental lineup for 2024 includes Camelphat, Hot Since 82, Kölsch, Yotto, and Miss Monique.

Following a spectacular 2023, Junction 2 returns as one of the capital’s most loved dance festivals with over 55 acts performing across the weekend. Tickets normally sell out fast so act quickly!

Cross The Tracks

Already slated to be one of London’s best and most eclectic festivals this year, Cross The Tracks is a fantastic music event taking place in 2024. It turns five, so you know it’s set to be one of the best festivals in London’s calendar with plenty to celebrate. If you’re into alternative music, jazz, neo-soul and indie music Cross the Tracks is for you. The line-up for 2024 includes Erykah Badu, Madlib (DJ), Venna, Iniko, Neal Francis, Brainstory, Yazmin Lacey (DJ), Mackwood, Natanya, Discoballin’, Aim – 20yrs of Cold Water Music, Joey Manzi b2b Nath EPS (Elevation), and more. Plus Cross The Tracks are aiming to tackle gender inequality with a minimum of 50% of their lineup being female. 

The price for a single ticket is £44.50, so this is definitely a cheaper alternative to Wireless Festival (but just as fun!). In addition to music, there will be talks, workshops and panels, street food and an impressive creatives market and much more.

City Splash Festival

The day after Cross the Tracks, City Splash descends on Brockwell Park for one of London’s best reggae, dancehall and Afrobeat festivals. It’s a celebration of Caribbean and African culture and how this has enriched the music scene of today. There’s also delicious black-owned food and drinks on offer. This year, City Splash will welcome the likes of Capleton, Beenie Man, Busy Signal, Shenseea, Anthony B, Shy FX, Black Sherif, Ding Dong, Libianca, Lojay, Queen Omega, WSTRN and more.

A music festival with a wellness spin; Wellnergy is one of the best festivals in London to leave feeling great! It was a new festival for 2023, so returning for it’s second year in 2024. The London festival features music, mindfulness, fitness, nutrition and much more, designed to be the ultimate holistic experience and leave you feeling restored.

Last year provided music from Jan Blomqvist, Parallelle [hybrid], Magit Cacoon and Eli & Fur, as well as guest health and wellness experts Dr Alex George, Grace Beverly, Maude Hirst, Alice Liveing and Dilly Carter. So you can imagine they’ve gone big again for 2024. Plus, if you can’t make the London date, you can hit up Wellnergy in Manchester on 6th July.

An independent south London festival located in Peckham Rye Park, Gala ’24 has to be mentioned alongside the best upcoming festivals in London this year. Running at the end of May, it is the perfect opportunity to exploit the time off work on the bank holiday to enjoy the good weather with your friends.

Boasting an impressive line-up of talents, last year featured acts such as Jordan Rakei, OVERMONO, and Kerri Chandler. So you can imagine 2024 is billed to exceed expectations and highlight why London is one of the best festival locations in the country. Rinse FM brings incredible acts to Brixton for 2024, spanning garage, grime, dubstep, house, and jungle. It’s a fun festival in London that first started in 1994, celebrating electronic music now for 20 years! The 2024 lineup includes CASISDEAD, Shy FX, Katy B, Freddie Gibbs + Madlib, Mala, Benga, Steam Down, sim0ne, Taylah Elaine, Juls, Vigro Deep, 4AM Kru, Arthi, Neffa-T, Sully. 

One Out Festival

This is the best music festival for lovers of electronic music in London. One Out Festival sold out quickly in 2022 and 2023, and it now returns for more fun this September. The full lineup is yet to be announced but so far it includes Solardo, Sam Divine, LF System and Girls Don’t Sync. 5000 people flock to Surrey to enjoy One Out, and it’s 4 huge stages never fail to impress.

All Points East Festival

The next festival on our list is All Points East, which will take place in Victoria Park with several dates ranging from 16th to 25th August. So there’s plenty of time to visit one of the best festivals you’ll find in London. With an impressively diverse lineup of musical talents such as Victoria Monét, Thundercat, Nas, Pixies, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, Gossip, Justice and and many more. This year’s event will be their 10th anniversary, and they invite you to join in their birthday celebrations. The UK’s biggest drum and bass music festival returns for 2024. The best performers from the music genre will take to the festival stage at Beckenham Place Park in London for one (hopefully sunny) day in August. This year’s lineup includes Pendulum (DJ Set), LTJ Bukem, Spectrasoul, Kings Of The Rollers, Flava D, High Contrast, Break and many more. There’s also some great presenters to keep you entertained in between acts, where last years’ included Let It Roll, Run Invicta Audio, and more.

Ok not strictly among the festivals in London, but it’s not too far to travel to Milton Keynes. It has over 100 artists to watch perform, and impressively over 50 food traders to keep you energised. Most of the lineup is yet to be announced, but some names already set to play are Burning Spear and Tarrus Riley. You know it’s gonna be good – it’s one of the biggest reggae festivals in the UK, and previous years have seen UB40 and Morgan Heritage.
