In just over a week hoards of students will fill the streets of Sheffield looking like they’ve just walked off the set of the Walking Dead, but which events should they stumble to? Today we give you the low down on which Sheffield events are worth your while.

1. Halloween Freaks Festival

31st of October, The Foundry

This yearly event takes place throughout Uni of’s SU with different rooms offering all your favourite club nights such as Roar and Pop Tarts. The event is legendary amongst Sheffield students as ghosts take over the whole SU. This year’s theme is ‘Haunted House’ so come ready, dressed as your favourite ghoul.

2. Monster Roar and Scary Tarts

27th and 30th of October, The Foundry

Roar gets a spooky makeover on the 27th with halloween inspired tunes in both rooms. If that wasn’t enough for you, Pop Tarts will become Scary Tarts  on the 30th of October, so you can have a night out scarier than your hangover.

3. The Living Dead Crawl

31st of October, all over Sheffield

This bar crawl is only £3 per ticket and takes you all over the city centre from OHM, to Bierkeller and Viper Rooms. Set up by Organised Chaos, the event will see over 3000 student zombies take over Sheffield, each venue with it’s own unique, spooky vibe.

4. ZombieNATION

27th of October, Crystal

Tickets start at just £3 for this special HallamNATION event. A favourite of Hallam students, this event has three floors of music from Cheese to Hip-Hop, EDM to Power Ballads, you won’t want to leave.

5. Sunken SlaughterHOUSE

25th of October, Tank

This sell-out event will be a dark, immersive experience with tech, dance and house anthems from resident DJs Finn Eden and Ben Jammin. Immerse yourself into the depths of Tank for this pre-Halloween special.

6. Fearfest 21

30th of October, Magna Science Park

Yorkshire’s biggest Halloween event has three arenas of dance, D&B, techno and dance music. This sell out event has performers including Hybrid Minds, Sub Focus, Hannah Wants and Macky Gee. Shuttle buses are running from Tank, so you can explore the Fearfest.

7. The Leadmill Halloween Spooktacular

On Halloween night the Leadmill’s doors will swing open for their Festival of the Dead. Join resident DJ Tomm Thomas for indie tunes, pop punk, emo and singalong classics. Make sure to choose your best costume to compete in the costume competition. Enjoy a themed cocktail or take part in a spooky giveaway.
