The city’s very own public library is the best place to study outside whichever campus you may be on. This is a great library, suited especially for students at the University of Birmingham. The library has a large number of study spaces on every floor so you can get your head down and get some work done. There is also a café and library lounge so if you fancy taking a break from your studies, head down to the ground floor and pick up a sandwich.

This is the perfect library if you are looking for somewhere different to study. There are many amenities to suit your every need including a large host of books and many computers. There is also a theatre and café so if you fancy taking a break, why not watch a gripping show with a coffee?

This is a great library if you live in Harborne or nearby in Selly Oak. It is situated at the top end of High Street and is served by several bus routes. If you are looking to use a computer, they are bookable by the hour and there are some machines available for shorter periods. There is a large array of sections including fiction and non-fiction sections. There are many amenities to suit your every need, so why not pop down?

This is a great library if you are looking for somewhere versatile and old fashioned to study. The period building has most of its traditional features still intact making the place more unique and vibrant. This library has many books which may not be available in the Central Library so it is a great alternative if you are looking for some particular books which aren’t available at the Central Library.

Erdington Public Library

Located in North Birmingham, this library is brilliant if you want a relaxing, spacious atmosphere to study. There is a wide selection of books and CDs available which can be located in the genre-categorised aisles, wide and easy to browse. The IT facilities and self-service machines mean that queues get cut down by a mile and visitors are able to do whatever they need.
