Famous for their Icebreaker freshers event hosting over 2000 students, Electric is a staple for extravagant nights out with their confetti cannons, circus performers, indoor fireworks, and hype men! Although slightly more expensive than your average night out, it can be expected because this venue is everything but traditional – but pre-drinks never hurt anyone, and there’s a Wetherspoons just down the road!
Lightbox

Another south London favourite, Lightbox, is known for its crazy nights out and keeping hundreds of students partying until their morning lectures! Their official Freshers Moving In Party saw the likes of candy floss, ball pits and even inflatables. Alongside their super cheap entry, drink and even snack prices. With wacky lights, tunes, and drinks, this is a cult classic for students who want to escape the rave scene and travel back to much simpler times: the 80s and 90s (probably before most of us were born, but there’s no age limit to great music). Not only is it an amazing choice to start your Friday and Saturday nights the right way, but their super affordable cocktails will also make you wish the party never ended.

EGG London

One of the capital’s favourite night clubs is EGG, known for its paint parties freshers events. If the great music, boozy menu and 24-hour open time over the weekend wasn’t enough, then their student nights certainly will be! You no longer need to be balling on a budget because EGG has a free, yes FREE, student subscription service that will save you some mega money: discounted entry for you and two friends for all events, fast track passes, free admission on your birthday, exclusive access to events – to name a few. With five rooms, lasers and cheap drinks all night long, all we can think about is when lockdown will be over for us to go again.

Whether it be their UV Neon Laser Rave, Freshers Festival or Zoo party, it is a cult favourite amongst all London students. They’re always hosting great events, but Fabric is also the perfect option if you want a more low-key night with your mates dancing along to dubstep, house and techno – the choice is all yours! Rumour has it that no one ever goes to Fabric just the one time, but you didn’t hear it from us.
The Garage

‘One of London’s best kept underground clubbing secrets’ (their words, not ours – although we can’t help but agree) is The Garage, located opposite Highbury and Islington station. SAUCY is their iconic student night that happens every Friday until 4 am. Filled with cheap drinks (and I mean, £2.50 cheap), discounted entry, huge RnB and grime tunes. The Garage is a favourite amongst London students. Whether you fancy two-stepping all night long with your friends or going crazy on the stage, anything is possible with a night out here.
