What you need to know about Bosphorus in Nottingham

Bosphorus is a Turkish restaurant based just outside of Nottingham city centre on Alfreton Road and is perfect for any occasion any time of day. The restaurant is named after a significant waterway in Turkey, which connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara. They are also open every day of the week from midday to midnight.

They serve a vast range of food which you can usually either eat in or take out, however, due to the current Covid-19 conditions, they are using single-use menus with socially distanced dining tables which are sanitised after each use.

In fact, there is so much on their menu here are just a few of their different meals available for you to try.

Breakfast

Options for breakfast include am open buffet breakfast, a Spanish, cheese or plain omelette, or even a Turkish Breakfast. All of which will leave you feeling full and ready to start your day.

Turkish Pizza

There is a great range of pizza’s available at Bosphorus, all of which are just £7. They are all made with freshly baked pastry, and there are a vast range of ingredients to choose from.

Mains

Most mains are available in a small or large portion, and they are also all served with rice and salad. Some of their most popular mains are Lamb Chops, Adana Koffe, and Chicken Shish kebabs, all of which sound delicious. They also have a variety of chef specials available, all of which are £11.50 or less!

Cold and Hot Meze

Cold meze options include hummus, tabouli, and lots of other traditional options. Most of which include plenty of vegetables. The hot meze options include garlic mushrooms, falafel, calamari, and other warm dishes.

Fish

There is also a few fish options available for you to try, including Sea Bass, Sea Bream, and chargrilled Salmon. All of which are just £11.50, and served with both salad and rice.

Salad

If you fancy having something light to eat, Bosphorus also serve a variety of salads. Most of which are just £5, and include a range of vegetables and salad dressing.

Special Platters

As there’s so much choice a lot of people prefer to get a special platter to share, that way they can try lots of different things. A platter for 2 costs £25.50 and includes skewers of Lamb Shish and Chicken Shish, chicken wings, lamb doner, chicken doner, as well as rice and salad. They also offer platters for groups of 4 and even 6.

Desserts

Everyone has a sweet tooth, so why not treat yourself and try one of Bosphorus’s delicious desserts. Options include mixed ice-cream, as well as more traditional Turkish dishes, such as Kunufe, Sipangles, and Mix Baklava.
