Nottingham is a lively city, and there is always something going on in the city, even during the current conditions of the pandemic. Here are just some of the exciting events happening in Nottingham throughout the month of December…
In Sneinton Market there will be the Winter Solstice Market on Saturday December 12th. The solstice market will have a variety of stalls of local artists, designers, and makers. Who will be selling a variety of handmade items, including a variety of Christmas cards, jewellery, candles, and face masks. The Vegan Market will also be going on in the Market square, so visitors can visit that as well.
From Thursday 3rd December to January 6th you can experience Wollaton Halls outdoor Christmas light trail. The trail goes around the hall grounds so remember to wear warm clothing and appropriate footwear, as well as a face covering. Tickets cost £19.25 for adults and £13.75 for children, this also includes the booking fee. Children under free receive free entry, and if you live closely enough you may be entitled to a resident’s discount.
Each Saturday and Sunday from November 28th to December 20th you can do to the Plant Shop at Woodthorpe Park to choose your Christmas Tree, which they can deliver for free if you live within 15 miles of the Park. From the 5th of December there will also be extra stalls at the park selling homemade items and gifts. Their local café ‘Homemade’ is also going to be making coffees and hot chocolates to keep everyone warm and festive whilst choosing their Christmas trees.
