Now that we are actually allowed to go and do things, we are all rearing to go all out for this May Day Bank Holiday. If you’re living in London but you’re not sure what’s on, we’ve got everything you need to know! Here are the most exciting things happening this May bank holiday in London.
1. Visit a pub that doesn’t need you to book
For those of us leaving it this late to plan our long weekend, booking a table in a beer garden might not be an option in the capital. However, we’ve been saved by the pubs that love disorganised people like us.
2. Skylight Canalside
A new pop up project bringing you the best London street food in one of London’s most iconic outdoor spaces. Taking over the Quayside from Saturday 1st May, this food extravaganza is worth a visit this long weekend.
3. Crazy Golf
Book online for Battersea Putt in the Park if you fancy a day in the spring sunshine playing crazy mini golf with your family or friends. Tickets are available through their site!
3. Fulham Beach
Fulham Beach is a beautiful place, and they have a range of things for you to do this weekend. On Friday 30th April there’s a Full Moon Party, then on Monday 3rd of May they’ve got a Beach Bottomless Brunch!
4. Brunch Life
5. Hip-Hop vs RnB brunch
We all love brunch, and this music versus brunch will be iconic. £25 per person, includes on party, one course, first drink and a whole bunch of fun! Tables are available for 2 – 6 people.
6. Bar Elba
Rooftop bar, with a cinema, and a view of London. What else could you want? They have boozy packages, themed brunches, blockbuster movies, and they’re open morning, noon and night! On Sunday evening you can go and see Mamma Mia, and on Monday you can enjoy Something About Mary!
7. The Montague
The Montague on the Gardens is a hotspot for Instagrammers. The hotel is embracing a holiday vibe with its Beach Bar this summer.
Over in Shoreditch is the hipster’s dream: Boxpark. This out of the ordinary shopping centre and food scene has a huge range of shops, stalls and things for you to do and experience! Take a trip, you won’t regret it.
9. Brixton Courtyard
With a covered beer garden in one of the coolest parts of London, Brixton Courtyard has day and evening socials, with music, booze and a good vibe!
10. Shop ’til you drop
Of course, now that shops are open, you can always take the easiest choice. The one thing you can always do in London is shop shop shop! With Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Camden all reopening, there’s plenty of choice.
