Seeing as the new winter Love Island is due to start in January, it’s time to look back at the cast of the last series and what they’re up to now. Have they returned to their day jobs or have they become the type social media stars that the show tends to create? With previous cast members expanding their careers into multiple fields on the back of the show, it appears anything is possible for the ex-islanders.
Amber won the series alongside Irish rugby player Greg O’Shea. Although the pair are no longer together, Amber hasn’t done too badly for herself since leaving the show, earning a massive £1 million brand deal as the face of clothing company Miss Pap. The Geordie also has a successful Instagram account with 2.8 million followers.
Greg quickly stole the hearts of the nation after arriving late on the show. Since then, it appears he has been continuing with his rugby 7’s career playing for the Irish national team.
He has also been working on his Instagram brand deals, recently partnering with brands such as Samsung and JustEat.
Despite being a runner up in the series finale, Molly-Mae has arguably been the islander most in the public eye since the show finished. Molly is still together with fellow contestant Tommy Fury and is now a brand ambassador for the popular online clothing shop Pretty Little Thing. She has also recently launched her own range of fake tan and has continued with her successful YouTube channel.
Brother of professional boxer Tyson Fury, Tommy is also a professional boxer and has already returned to the ring since being a runner up on the show in August. Like his fellow islanders, Tommy’s Instagram has hit the roof with 2.9 million followers and an assortment of brand deals. He has now moved back to Manchester with girlfriend Molly Mae.
Ovie was a fan favourite on Love Island and it appears this hasn’t changed. Despite being a professional basketball player before stardom, he has now dabbled in modelling and has shot for ASOS along with his father. He hasn’t left his love for basketball behind though and has confirmed on Instagram to be working with Sky Sports on their NBA coverage.
India finished Love Island in third place along with hunk Ovie Soko. Since then, she has also received brand deals and is currently working with online retailer Boohoo. India also runs a vegan recipe page on Instagram called @recipesfromreyn.
Maura reached the finals with current boyfriend Curtis Pritchard. She is now a brand ambassador for several companies, including Boohoo, Ann Summers and Bella Mianta tanning. The Ireland native also has a podcast called Get the Scoop with Maura Higgins.
Curtis was a dancer before the show, and he hasn’t left his love for dancing behind since leaving. The ballroom and Latin star works on BBC1’s Greatest Dancer and is also a guest choreographer on Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK. He’s also due to start a new ITV2 programme with fellow islander Tommy Fury called The Boxer and The Ballroom Dancer.
Jordan caused a lot of drama on the show, but now seems to be living life drama free. He has his own men’s premium underwear and loungewear company and has done modelling for ASOS and Boohoo man on Instagram.
Anna was a pharmacist before entering the villa in the summer, but now has her own podcast with fellow islanders Yewande Biala and Amber Gill called Reality Check. The brunette bombshell has also created her own false lashes with Primalash and has various Instagram brand endorsements.
Chris was well loved in the villa and formed a strong friendship with fellow contestant Francesca Allen. Since then, he’s actually launched his own kimono brand Fruity Dons Ltd, which he says on the website started as a joke and has enlisted the help of Francesca to help model them on social media.
Harley had romance with Chris on the show which sadly only lasted a few weeks after they were both dumped from the island. She now models on Instagram like many of her fellow islanders for brands like Boux Avenue and Fashion Nova.
Anton owned his own gym in Scotland before coming on Love Island, which he still owns. He is also a fitness model, motivational speaker and an ambassador for non-governmental organisation World Merit, which is in partnership with the United Nations to “empower global citizens to take action & create impact for Global Goals”.
Belle was a makeup artist before coming to Love Island and her beauty business has only become more popular since her appearance on the show. If that wasn’t enough, her Instagram is a portfolio of brand endorsements, which range from dry shampoo companies to clothing and hair supplements.
Michael also had a controversial time on the show with his series of rocky romances. Currently, he has a large brand deal with clothing company The Couture Club and has his own range with them. He will also be joining the Dreamboys male strip show on tour in 2020.
Francesca arrived on Love Island late, but she certainly made her impact. She now has her own style edit with In The Style and is the co-owner of Bonnie & Clyde boutique in London which she runs with her sister.
Joanna was a recruitment consultant before appearing on Love Island during Casa Amour. She is now a host on the online radio network FUBAR radio and has an edit with In The Style amongst other brand deals.
Amy was one of the original islanders and quit the show after coming back from Casa Amour. She was previously a cabin crew manager but has now left her airline job for further television appearances. Amy will be a contestant on Celebs Go Dating in 2020 and has also been a guest on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two and ITV’s Loose Women.
Before joining the Love Island during Casa Amour, Marvin was a personal trainer and an ex royal navy officer. Four months on, he has continued with his fitness and uses Instagram to post workouts. He has also done some modelling for Asos.
Lucie is from Cornwall and was a professional surfer before Love Island. She is now a fashion model on Instagram, but still seems to be keeping up her surfing hobby in between clothing brand deals and photoshoots.
The ex-builder from Essex is also on the Instagram fitness train and does some modelling on the side, completing advertisements for Boohoo amongst other brands.
Danny was an established model before entering the villa and has continued doing this outside of it. Alongside modelling, he also focuses on fitness and is part of the Ldn Muscle Academy, which provides nutritional information for weightloss and healthy recipes.
Jourdan was a model, actor and influencer before her time on Love Island and now models for various clothing companies on Instagram whilst travelling the world, however she now calls LA her home.
Arabella formed a romance with Danny Williams on the show but is now in a relationship with Wes Nelson from the 2018 series of Love Island. The pair have since done an exclusive interview with OK magazine and Arabella has been modelling for Leni’s Agency.
Tom was also a model before coming on the show (is anyone else seeing a pattern here?) and remains the same after the show, signed to both Boss Model Management and Next Models Miami. He also competed in the Sellebrity football match in September alongside fellow islander Marvin Brooks to raise money for charity.
Yewande, who is from Dublin, was previously a scientist before entering the villa. Now, it seems as though she has joined her fellow islanders in gaining those Instagram brand deals and also has a range with online clothing store In The Style.
Owning a catering company, Joe made himself known as ‘The Sandwich man’ during the show. Alongside running his business, Joe now currently works with brands such as JD and Boohoo man over on his social media. He is also in a relationship with Lucie Dolan.
Elma ran an eyelash extension company before going to find love on Love Island and she still runs this business. Alongside running her company, Elma works with brands on social media and has done a fair amount of travelling.
Sherif was kicked out of Love Island early in the series for ‘breaking the rules’, although no one actually knows what rules were broken. Since then, he has continued his professional rugby career and has ventured into the fitness industry.
Lavena, who was a business developer from Croydon, came onto the show during Casa Amour. Despite not finding love and getting dumped from the island shortly afterwards, she has since ventured into the world of theatre as will be soon starring as Jasmin in the play, The Wright Brothers.
Nabila also made her debut on the show during Casa Amour. Since her exit, she has ditched her previous job as a hostess and has been freelance modelling in Australia since the end of August.
Maria was a VIP host before Love Island and now, like many of the other islanders, has done advertisements on social media for clothing brands such as Rebellious fashion and Pretty Little Thing.
Stevie seems to be living a more normal life after his Love Island journey away from Instagram endorsements. Instead, his social media posts show him living the high life on skiing holidays and dining out at expensive London restaurants.
Dennon was a professional footballer before Love Island and has continued his football career playing for Wealdstone FC. Dennon was attracted to Maura in the villa, but he is now in a relationship with someone from outside the programme.
Dan has spent his time travelling since August and has recently been in Dubai at the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He has received several brand endorsements on social media, ranging from clothing to watches and shoes.
Callum was sadly the first person to leave the island and has since been doing his fair share of travelling, modelling and brand endorsements. He has also worked with BBC Sport Wales over on his Instagram with his series For the love of Wales.
