Dávid Julián Dobrík is a YouTuber from Slovakia who has over 18 million subscribers on his channel David Dobrik but has other channels including VIEWS with Jason Nash. He posts all sorts of videos, but usually they are pranks. This makes it no surprise that he was a former Vine star, and he also has a podcast.

The 24 year old was born in Slovakia, and he has three younger siblings. But his family moved to Illinois when he was just 6 years old. After he graduated High School, he moved to Los Angeles to start his career as a Vine star and then swiftly moved onto YouTube after Vine got discontinued.

David films his videos with his friends in Los Angeles and is the leader of The Vlog Squad, a group of Youtubers that create content together. The group includes Jason Nash, Natalie Mariduena, Josh Peck, Zane Hijazi, Matt King, Toddy Smith, Jeff Wittek, Joe VUlpis, Corinna Kopf, Carly Incontro, and Erin Gulfoy – which is a huge squad!

Some of David’s videos have been quite controversial though; he even married Lorraine Nash, the mother of his friends Jason Nash. The marriage was legal and just done for his vlog, yet the two stayed married for a whole month! That’s commitment to YouTube.

What most people don’t know about David is that he also was one of the voice actors in The Angry Birds Movie 2, a judge on a Nickelodeon TV Show, and he hosted the first season of Dodgeball Thunderdome, a series on the Discovery Channel. As well as all of that, he has also hosted a lot of other shows, awards, and has even appeared in a few music videos.

The YouTuber has recently had all of his channels demonetised by YouTube after a woman alleged she was raped by a former associate of David’s during the filming of a video for his channel back in 2018.

The woman is said to have been drunk after being given alcohol despite being 21 at the time; she was then involved in group sex where she was too intoxicated to consent.

A YouTube Spokesperson told Insider: “We have strict policies that prohibit sexual harassment on YouTube and take allegations of sexual assault very seriously.

“We have temporarily suspended monetisation on David Dobrik and Durte Dom channels for violating our Creator Responsibility policy.”

Since the allegation was made, many people brands have severed ties with David, no longer wanting to be associated with him. Including Josh Peck, known for his role as Josh on Nickelodeon’s hit show, Drake and Josh. Josh has removed all trace of David from his social media accounts.

Brands that have severed ties with David include Hello Fresh, EA Sports, and HBO Max. David has also stepped down from Spark Capital, an app he co-founded.

On March 16th, David posted an apology video which he titled ‘stuff with Dom’, and shows him directly apologising to a former member of the blog squad.

A few days later, on March 19th, David had 621 videos on his channel, yet on the 20th, he had only 616 videos suggesting that a few were removed or deleted.
