Impressing a potential or current lover can be tricky business when you’re deep in your over draft

But dates don’t have to be lavish and extravagant to sweep someone off their feet.

We’ve got some great (and cheap) date ideas to prove our point.

1. Watch a gig

Brudenell Social Club host loads of gig that are cheap to get into. The bands playing are usually pretty small time, but you never know, you could be watching the next best thing.

2. Go swinging

Test your partner’s putting skills on the 9 hole mini golf course and make up some rules — the one with the most points gets a drink.

3. Go walkies

5. See some cool art

6. Recreate that famous scene from Ghost

7. Soak up some local history

Have a wander around the museum and learn about the local history while flirting up a storm. There are a number of exhibitions in the museum, including the skeletons of 12 people from Yorkshire and London. What says kiss me more than a load of old bones hey?
