1. Liverpool Cathedral

A stunning piece of architecture mixed with some really culturally-fascinating pieces. Take, for example, the neon glow at one end of the church which eminates from a piece of Tracey Emin artwork. The oddly-placed, neon pink sign reads ‘I felt you and I knew you loved me’. It’s just one little bit of intrigue among hundreds at the cathedral.
2. Anfield Stadium

With more than 50,000 fans screaming on their side, Liverpool FC’s Anfield Stadium is a huge part of the city’s identity. The Scouse fans are known to be among the most passionate in the country and with Jurgen Klopp’s men thrilling with attacking football, now is a great time to make the trip.
3. Sightseeing tours

Hop on a bike or go on foot and explore this wonderful city. You’ll be able to find a tour to suit your passion but one of our favourites is the Liverpool Cycle Tours’ The Beatles Tour. Head on over to Penny Lane and the famous haunts of the Fab Four.
4. Liverpool Central Library

How much?: Free
How many libraries boast a free-to-use Xbox 360? It’s one of the many things that make Liverpool Central Library more than a quiet place to read books. There’s 150 public computers and wi-fi everywhere. It’s the perfect place to revise (apart from the very distracting Xbox, obviously).
5. Maritime Museum
Where?: Albert Dock, Liverpool, L3 4AQ
How much?: Free
Explore the seven seas with Liverpool’s most fascinating museum. Here you’ll find maritime paintings, ship models and, currently, an exhibition on the Titanic.
6. Casbah Coffee Club
Where?: Casbah Coffee Club, 8 Haymans Green, West Derby Village, Liverpool, L12 7JG
How much?: The Cashbah Tour is £15
It’s the birth place of The Beatles and therefore a must for any music fan. During the early 1960s, the band played there as The Silver Beatles with Pete Best on drums. Best was later moved on for Ringo Starr but still plays at the CCC.
7. Museum of Liverpool
Where?: Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1DG
How much?: Free
From the outside it looks stunning, a real stand-out in the city. And on the inside you will find a delightful world of learning and interesting artefacts. It’s free to go so there really is no excuse.
8. Walker Art Gallery
Where?: William Brown Street, Liverpool, L3 8EL
How much?: Free
For more than a century, the Walker Art Gallery has been the home of Liverpool’s art. Now it holds renaissance masterpieces, Tudor portraits and Victorian and pre-Raphaelite art.
9. Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King Liverpool
Where?: Cathedral House Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L3 5TQ

Much like Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool Metropolitan is visually a masterpiece from the outside — a real treat in itself. Head inside to find an awe-inspiring sight and check out one of the most spectacular churches in the UK.
10. The Beatles Story

It’s the world’s largest permenant exhibition to the city’s most famous sons. Take a journey through the incredible world of The Beatles, from small beginnings in the Casbah Coffee Club and the Cavern Club to dominating world music.
