Go karting makes a great day out. You can get together with friends and get out all of that competitive energy by racing each other around the track for the ultimate bragging rights. If you’ve wanted to do that in Nottingham but didn’t know where to start, this article has got you covered. While any go karting spots in Nottingham are generally quite out of the way from the city centre, it’s not too far if you truly want to go. So, here is everything you need to know about the best go karting in Nottingham.

TeamSport Nottingham

TeamSport Nottingham is a little out of the way from the city centre, but it’s just a 30 minute bus ride away. The circuit is state of the art, at a total length of 750 metres and encompassing multiple levels. That means you’re sure to have a unique experience racing around with your friends on the track. Post-race, you have the option to get food and drink on site, with pizzas, light bites and desserts, as well as both hot and cold drinks. Whatever strikes your fancy. A student ticket costs £28 per person, but (hint, hint), if you book on the website with the code “GET10” you will save 10% per ticket. (This is at the time of writing).

This one is best if you have a car. It’ll take 30 minutes by car to The Hangar, but an hour and a half on public transport. The indoor track is 450 metres long with a 150 foot flyover, which you can race across on supercharged 270cc karts. At The Hangar, you can book three different types of sessions: indoor karting, quad bikes on their outdoor track, and The Hangar Academy. The academy introduces and develops drivers’ abilities and serves as a supervised introduction to go karting. The prices here vary based on the type of session. On the indoor cost, a 15-minute sprint race will cost between £21 and £24 per person, with it increasing to £36-40 for two 15-minute races. For 15 minutes on the quad bike, it is £24 per person. Finally, it will cost £29 per person for an hour and a half session at The Hangar Academy.

This again is another one to go to if you can access a car. Nottingham Raceway is 26 minutes away from the city centre by car but an hour and a half by public transport. The carts are 270cc, so you know that means they’re high quality. After your race, you have multiple options to extend your stay. Not only is there a cafe to get refreshments afterwards, but you can also play crazy golf for just three pounds each! The cost for the go karts, like many other places, is based on time. At off peak times (Monday to Friday), 15 minutes of racing will cost you £19 per person, but this increases to £20 per person at peak times (weekends and bank holidays).
