Most of the Beatles songs are about love. In fact, according to the Guardian, the word “love” is sung 613 times across all their songs. So, with this in mind, if you want to hold her hand and stroll down Penny lane, or if you’re more of a “Strawberry Fields Forever” person, let’s come together and have a look at 20 date ideas in Liverpool.

1. Go for a stroll on the Albert Dock

There’s nothing more romantic than walking through the Royal Albert Dock. With beautiful views across the Mersey and love locks secured on railings, it is the perfect opportunity to add your padlock or just sit and enjoy the beauty of the moment. 

2. Visit a Museum

If you’re both lovers of history or just inquisitive, curious minds, why not head down to one of the many museums in Liverpool for a very laid-back and cultivate date. The Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum, World Museum, the Museum of Liverpool and Liverpool Central Library are just some of the fantastic, free museums that you can visit. The Museum of Liverpool is the largest museum dedicated to a city in the United Kingdom, and there is so much to explore in the Liverpool Central Library. Bold Street is the personification of the city. Thrift and furniture shops, comic bookstores, themed restaurants and cafes and with the Bombed-Out Church at the end, Bold Street is a vibrant, multi-cultural and thrilling place, where even just walking up and down it could be an eventful date.

Lark Lane is Bold Street’s Indie older sister. Whether you want to take a trip down memory lane or try a variety of cuisines, Lark Lane is known for its bistros, music venues, bars, open green spaces, cafés, and boutiques, and is stocked with so much to explore.
