Who doesn’t love a good brunch? Most Saturdays and Sundays in Nottingham consists of rolling out of bed in the mid-afternoon and heading into the city for some delicious food with friends and family. Whether you fancy a good old-fashioned fry up, pancakes, or maybe something a bit healthier, there definitely isn’t a shortage of options. In fact, you’ll be spoilt for choice! To save the arguments over where to go and what to eat, here are five of the best places to have brunch in Nottingham.

The Pudding Pantry

Pudding pantry

Where: 27-29 Trinity Square, Burton St, Nottingham NG1 4AF

Previously featured on our list of the top 10 fry-ups in Nottingham, The Pudding Pantry is an extremely popular place for a spot of brunch. The restaurant, which is close to the Victoria Centre, has everything you would need to cure that midday hunger. Its special brunch menu hosts a selection of pancakes, fry ups and sandwiches. We’d personally recommend their homemade beans on sourdough toast! If you’re more of an afternoon tea type of person, do not fret – the Pudding Pantry has an afternoon tea menu as well. Head over there for a brunch in Nottingham that is guaranteed to be delicious.

Fox Café

Fox Café

Where: 9 Pelham St, Nottingham NG1 2EH

Tucked away in a side street just off Market Square, Fox Cafe is one of Nottingham’s hidden brunch gems and has dishes to suit everyone’s tastes. Vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike can all enjoy a spot of brunch together at the Fox Cafe, with its varied menu conforming to all dietary requirements. You and your friends can enjoy delicious fry-ups, sandwiches, or simply tea and toast with jam in a relaxed setting with table-service. However, the exquisite service and food on offer over at Fox Cafe do come at a price, with the menu being slightly more expensive than others on this list. It’s certainly worth it, though!

Bills

Bills

Where: 15 Queen St, Nottingham NG1 2BL

Bills might be the only chain restaurant that has made it into our top five, but it’s here for a reason. For a lot of people in Nottingham, Bills is a go-to place for a meal, whatever time of day it might be. The ‘Bills Brunch’ (£12.95), is right up our street, consisting of two fried eggs, smoky bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried potatoes, baked beans, black pudding and toast. If you’re more of an egg person, you can have them done any way you like, whether that be poached, scrambled or with Avocado. It must be noted that the Bills breakfast/brunch menu is only available until 11:30 am, so you might need to set your alarms if you’ve been on a big night out the night before!

Warsaw Diner

Warsaw Diner Nottingham

Where: 93-95 Derby Rd, Nottingham NG1 5BB

If you’re willing to venture a little further from the city centre, Warsaw Diner is the perfect brunch location for value for money. This American themed breakfast bar will give you a unique experience that you won’t find at any other restaurant in Nottingham, alongside a wide selection of delicious food and drinks that won’t break the bank (or the student budget). Warsaw Diner offers three different kinds of ‘traditional’ breakfasts, combining pancakes, bacon, sausage and egg on one plate. Alternatively, you might want to opt for an omelette or an eggs benedict. Wash it all down with a smoothie or a milkshake, and you’ll wonder why you ever went for brunch anywhere else!

Cafe Sobar

Cafe Sobar

Where: 22 Friar Ln, Nottingham NG1 6DQ

Last, but by no means least, is Cafe Sobar. This special brunch location promises a 100% alcohol-free dining experience with excellent food and service. The menu at Cafe Sobar promises a wide selection of options, from traditional breakfasts and egg dishes to tea, toast and croissants. If you fancy something a bit more substantial, sandwiches, wraps and burgers are also on offer. Cafe Sobar is only a short walk away from Market Square, and close to the tram stops, so you won’t have far to walk home with a full stomach! However, Cafe Sobar is very popular, so make sure to book your table first if you plan on visiting on the weekend!
