Leeds has lots of great places to eat for foodie fans of all types — including vegetarians. But sometimes it can be hard to narrow it down, especially when you’re on a student budget and would love to keep it under a tenner. That’s why Unifresher have selected five of our favourite vegetarian restaurants in Leeds that will satisfy your green needs and your bank account.
1. Bundobust

If you’re after cheap Indian street food, craft beer or cocktails this is a great place to start. The small plates are perfect for lunch, or you can order a few if you need a bigger food fix.
2. Humpit

Already based in the Corn Exchange, the holy grail of hummus is coming right to our door with a location on campus in LUU opening soon. Yes, that’s right, you will be able to grab your uni lunch from there every day if you feel like it. Who can say no to a giant bowl of hummus, with toppings and pitta bread?
3. Rola Wala
How much? £5.95-£6.25 per meal, 75p-£1.75 for extras
Where? Trinity Leeds, Albion Street, Leeds LS1 5AY
Another Indian street food style restaurant can be found among the eclectic mix in Trinity Kitchen. Head here if you like the sound of a grain bowl or sourdough naan roll filled with a choice of three veggie fillings. This is the perfect comfort food for a hungover vego on a cold Sunday afternoon.
4. Hyde Park Book Club
How much? £2-£6 brunch and mains

HPBC have their own selection of vegetarian butcher meals, meaning you can get your full english breakfast fix without the actual meat. They also have weekly events going on, including jazz nights and other live music, record stalls and more – and most of them are free too!
5. Falafel Guys
How much? £4-£4.50 per wrap
Where? 47 Briggate, Leeds LS1 6HF
This food stall is in Leeds city centre most days, so is a breeze to find. The clue is in the title, with their perfected homemade falafel wraps making a great option for an on the go lunch. It is impossible to walk by the little red van without smelling how amazing this food is.
