Going to social events is the perfect place to find a date offline as people are more willing to socialise and interact with one another. Go to clubs, bars and other social events that your university has to offer. A fun game that you and your friends can play to find dates offline is setting each other goals when you go out. Mutual friends

In my opinion, the best avenue to find a date offline is through a friend of a friend. Ask your friends to introduce you to their friends. Also, if you see someone that you are interested in and they have a mutual friend, tell your friend to put a good word in for you and to introduce you to one another. Your friends know you well and should have a good idea of the perfect date for you. Most importantly, friends should have your best interest at heart. The fact that this potential date shares a mutual friend with you, indicates that they have good traits and your friends’ stamp of approval. In addition, having your friend there eases the nerves of finding a date offline.

Be confident

The best advice is to be confident! It is nerve-wracking to go up to someone in person. People have become increasingly used to the layer of protection that a screen provides you with through online dating. Finding a date offline means you are more exposed. This may sound scary but, it is good to put yourself out there. If you find someone attractive, speak to them and ask for their number. If you don’t speak to people, in order to find a date offline, you will never get over the fear of rejection.
