Beer gardens are the place to be this summer when both the sun and all of us are released from the lockdown. Brighton has some fantastic beer gardens, and what could be better than spending your days sitting, drinking, and chatting at a pub on the seafront.

1. La Plage

Situated right on the beach, it doesn’t get any better than the beer garden at La Plage. Just make sure to leave before the tide comes in, as you don’t want your cocktails floating away.

2. Ohso Social

Another beer garden on the beach is Ohso Social, which has plenty of seating for you and all your friends. Plus, in between your cocktail drinking, you could build sandcastles and pretend you’re abroad on a tropical island.

3. The Black Lion

4. The Hare and Hounds

The Hare and Hounds is a modern pub nestled in the centre of Brighton, with a large outdoor seating area. But instead of your typical benches, they have little areas you and your friends can chill in. Plus, the bar serves a great variety of food, including a few classic Thai dishes.

The beer garden at Sidewinder is a perfect drinking spot all year round, as their garden can be covered with roofing to protect customers from the rain. What’s even better is that the garden becomes illuminated at night with multi-coloured fairy lights and candles.

7. Palm Court

If you want the seafront views without sand getting in your shoes, why not try Palm Court? Located on the Brighton Palace Pier, the Palm Court beer garden overlooks the sea, offering spectacular views regardless of the time of year or time of day for that matter.

8. The Tempest Inn

9. Open House
