Open for 13 years, the White Horse is run by two families. It is just north of Leicester, but their range makes them worthy of this list! They have a rotation of the best Guest Ales, as well as a children’s play area, a dog-friendly bar, heated outdoor areas, dartboards, full disabled access and a menu that will have you drooling at your table! The White Horse sells good old fashioned, hearty food like beef meatballs and warm bread, three bean chillis, pasta, curries, and big gorgeous burgers.  Plus, they stock everything from Reyka to Drambuie, and have a huge gin list too!

With a varied menu, little personal sheds for you to sit in with friends and family, and a greatly decorated beer garden, the posh-looking Marquis is an obvious choice for the list of best beer gardens.

3. The Rutland and Derby
