Nottingham is the home of Robin Hood and Batman so its no wonder its full of awesome things to do and explore as a student. With so many attractions and history its been hard for us to narrow it down to 10 but i think we’ve nailed it. Check out the 10 amazing things to do as a student in Nottingham:

1. Nottingham Castle

Okay it’s probably not the first thing that pops to mind when thinking of things to do as a student, but this place is full of history, arts and occasionally holds some pretty amazing events, especially around seasonal holidays. You cannot come away from Uni in Nottingham having not visited this place.

2. Pitcher and Piano 

Pitcher and Piano Nottingham

You might walk straight passed this place and think its a church but you’d be wrong and missing out! Its in fact a bar and you’ll feel as sinful af. Pitcher and Piano is a chain but this one isn’t like any of the others. Its set in a grade II listed church with style and sophistication.

3. Kitty Cafe

Kitty Cafe

If your a cat lover then you’ll love this place just off the main Market Square. Sip coffee and eat delicious food whilst surrounded by cute kitties. The best part is it’s a rescue centre, so if your attached to a particular car then you can take it home with you, if your landlord will allow it, also consider whether your parents will allow it home on holidays.

4. Wollaton Hall and Deer Park

Wollaton Hall and Deer Park

This is legit the home of batman. You’ll see it in the movie The Dark Knight Rises and you have top go visit it, if only to point and tell your friends you’ve been there whilst watching the movie. The building is breathtaking and the ground are even better. Expect to make some fiery friends as the grounds are filled with cute deers.

It’s FREE to get in. There’s a charge for the car park. Or go by public transport.

5. Goose Fair

Open Early October

This fair is more then 700 years old and holds everything you can think of when you think of a fair. More then 500 rides and attractions all flock to Forest Reaction Grounds to amaze and delight people of all ages.
