This restaurant’s view is said to be spectacular, with the scenery of the entire city for you to experience at 360 degrees. 2. The Sky By The Water

 

Located on the top floor of resorts world is The Sky By The Water, a bar and restaurant with a view that is truly worthy of that Instagram post. A combination of both British and French cooking with a modern twist is on the menu but is it rumoured that it is the desserts at this restaurant that are worth the visit.

The desserts are reportedly made by a team run by Channel 4’s Bake Off: The Professionals finalist Darryl Collins. But perhaps the most special thing about this place is the not so Secret Garden secluded away on the rooftop is an indoor bar and outdoor garden, complete with eight pods to sit, relax and enjoy the garden to your heart’s content.

From a gorgeous afternoon tea to the exclusive cocktail menu with a twist. The bar also includes something called dessert cocktails, like the Chocolate Martini pure ambience is created by a live DJ on a Friday evening to late, and calming vocalists from 9am on a Saturday.

3. The Button Factory

The Button Factory is a restoration of one of the city of Birmingham’s traditional factory buildings. If you come here you will view a piece of Birmingham history, the original character remains untouched and this is part of the appeal and charm.

Whilst it was formally a Birmingham factory it is said to remind tourists of the New York scene, resembling that of an NYC loft.

4. The Malt House

The traditional British pub The Malt House, located in Brindley Place is great for those who seek simple traditional, tasty pub grub or just a quick pint of real ale. It’s conveniently located by Birmingham canal side and its balcony offers you a beautiful view that overlooks the water.

It is rumoured that this pub was once visited by former President of the US Bill Clinton.

Said to have a romantic atmosphere, The Church Inn can be found in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. The menu is now under the influence of Peel & Stone one of Birmingham’s pizzerias and artisan bakeries and offers traditional wood-fired pizzas in a place that would similar to that of a speakeasy or New Orleans Bar and all this without leaving Birmingham.

The look and overall feel of the place being of Louisiana’s French quarter might be the reason that this venue is home to The Soul food Project.

6. The Wellington

The Wellington is another British pub in Birmingham. Due to major refurbishment in 2014, the pub now has an upper floor terrace, and there are even two bars one on the ground floor and one on the upper level where you can enjoy a selection of real ales, foreign beers, quality ciders and more. Take them outside to the roof terrace in the summer months and enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately, Wellington does not offer food, but customers are allowed to order a takeaway to this pub.

7. The Gentleman & Scholar

Inspired by the Gentleman’s club and The Lunarmen Society of 1765 in Birmingham that had famous members like Erasmus Darwin. A group of men ultimately came up with the idea for the Birmingham canals and factories that exist today.

Here you can partake in food, drink and live music on the large terrace that is heated in the winter and cool in the summer months where you can sit outside with a cocktail. Located inside The Hyatt Regency Hotel, Birmingham. Definitely worthy of its win for West Midlands Pub/Bar of the Year 2019. This is what you call a restaurant with a view. The Canal House serves an exclusive menu of Bistro food, along with ale, wine and craft cocktails. But the sun decks, its most worthy attraction, that is for sure overlooking Birmingham’s canals.
