It’s officially October, so you know what that means, it’s spooky season! Pumpkin spice lattes, preparing Halloween party costumes and carving Jack-O’-Lanterns. Time to get into a Halloween mood. There are plenty of events going on across London throughout the month of October to get you in the Halloween mood. Whether you’re looking for a club night, themed Halloween parties by decade or something a little less intense, there is something going on for everyone. With that in mind, here are some of the best Halloween events in London in 2023.

70s/80s/90s Halloween Party

Halloween Events in London 2023 If you’re a fan of old music, then this is probably the Halloween event in London for you. At The Loop Bar in Mayfair on the 28th of October, you’ll be treated to a Halloween party that transports you back in time. If you’re one of the first 20 people to arrive, you’ll receive a welcome drink and if you arrive before 8pm, you can get 50% off drinks. With the event going on until 3:30am, it’s sure to be one wild night. Tickets are currently on sale for £11.55.

Halloween Walk

If you’re looking for something a little more chill, then why not check out the Halloween walk? On the 28th of October, you can, as the name suggests, walk around London, starting off at The Oval and experiencing some of the city’s most haunted hotspots. Just pick a distance then get walking! What makes it even better is that it’s an event organised by Shooting Stars Children’s Hospice, so you’ll be raising money for charity. The cost of the registration fee depends on how much fundraising you’re able to do, but it’s a minimum £15.

Turn Up Shoreditch

Turn Up Shoreditch Halloween Special 2023 On Saturday the 28th of October, Joan in Shoreditch is hosting what promises to be the biggest and scariest Halloween party of the century. The venue transforms into Satan’s playground, complete with dead skeletons, flying ghosts, witches, vampires and weird aliens lurking in the shadows. You can expect to hear artists such as Skillibeng, Sean Paul, Tony Matterhorn and Drake, among others, along with four DJs live on the night. As of time of writing, there are 6 final release (£5) and 10 last chance (£10) tickets left. Alternatively, if you’re going with a group, you can buy tickets together for £20 (group of 4) or £25 (group of 6).

Saved by the 90s Halloween Party

Saved by the 90s London Halloween Events 2023 This isn’t your typical Halloween party per se. But, if you’re a fan of 90s music, it’s the perfect option for you. On the 27th of October, Big Chill Brick Lane in Shoreditch is hosting Saved By The 90s, a Halloween party dedicated to all the 90s kids out there. Spend the night screaming your heart out to Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, S-Club 7, Mariah Carey and all the other iconic 90s/early 00s artists. Plus if your birthday happens to be between October 20th and November 5th, then you can get free entry to the event! Otherwise, tickets are currently available for £8.

Nightmare in South – London’s Biggest Halloween Party

Nightmare in South - London’s Biggest Halloween Party If you’re a South Londoner and don’t want to cross the river to have a spectacularly spooky night, then Nightmare in South – London’s Biggest Halloween Party has got you covered. It’s run by What’s The Motive, the same company organising Turn Up Shoreditch. The only difference is that it’s happening a day earlier (the 27th of October) and at Lit in Clapham rather than Shoreditch. Tickets are more expensive (currently £10 for a final release ticket). But, coming from a native South Londoner, why cross the river when you can have just as fun down here!

Halloween at the Tower of London

Another option for less intense Halloween events in London is at the Tower of London. Every day over the half term (21st to 29th of October, you can set out on a ghost hunt trail. While it’s geared more towards families than uni students, it’s a great, less intense option than a typical club night. Tickets are more expensive than most of the club nights (£26.80), you can access the whole grounds, not just the trail. Why not make a day out of it?

Fright Night Halloween

On the 27th of October from 9:30pm until 2:30am, Duo in Camden is hosting Fright Night: Halloween, London’s most thrilling Fright Night Halloween Special. You’re encouraged to dress in Halloween attire and descend into the dark depths of the venue, just across the road from Camden Town tube station. There, you’ll have a great time dancing away on your Friday night. Tickets are £10 entry.

Studland Soho: Halloween

HERE at Outernet is hosting Studland Soho: Halloween, which promises to be the biggest Halloween party with a focus on the LGBTQIA+ community. Halloween is gay Christmas after all! In the main room, you’ll listen to Boys’ Shorts, London’s fastest-rising queer DJ stars. Bombshell, a Soho institution, is manning the bar with legendary residents Lady Lloyd and Tasty Time. In the basement, resident J. Aria is joined by Goh Well, Shivum Sharma and Lexii, a handpicked trio of queer talent, among more! Doors open at 9pm on Saturday 28th of October and tickets cost £20 per person.
