With Uni Of taking the number seven slot in the 25 hardest partying universities, we already know Liverpool is a great place to go out. But with so much choice, how do you decide. Try these six nights (you could do it in one wild week or spread it across the year), which we think are some of the best student nights in Liverpool. We’ve made sure to include only the cheapest places so they are student wallet friendly.
MONDAY
Where: The Raz
Cost of entry: £1.50
Drink specials: £1 on selected beers and ciders
Party vibe: Kick off the week by following in the footsteps of The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan who have all played at Blue Angel (aka The Raz). The prices probably have changed too much since John, Paul, George and Ringo played with £1 on selected beers and cider.
TUESDAY
Where: Juicy at The Shipping Forecast
Cost of entry: £3 guestlist/£4 others
Party vibe: Wash away those Tuesday blues with a bit of bashment, party hip hop and classic r’n’b. The Juicy DJs know what they are doing having played at some of the biggest festivals and clubs around, from Fabric to Chibuku to the Warehouse Project and Parklife.
WEDNESDAY
Where: LEVEL
Cost of entry: £4 for guaranteed and priority queue ticket
Drink specials: £2.50 double vodka and mixer
Party vibe: Who says size doesn’t matter? Love Wednesdays at LEVEL is one of the biggest student night in Liverpool and, just for that, it deserves to be on the list. There’s six rooms and three floors covering the best of house, r’n’b and cheese — a bit of something for everyone. You’ll be hard pressed to find a student in Liverpool who hasn’t been to LEVEL so you’re bound to bump into a few friendly faces there.
THURSDAY
Where: Quids In at Heebie Jeebies
Cost of entry: From £1
Drink specials: £1
Party vibe: They’ve got classics blasting from the speakers — think classic r’n’b, hip hop and soul — and some seriously, seriously cheap drinks. Beverages are available from just a quid — hence the night’s name Quid’s In — which means your wallet won’t take too much of a pounding (although your head might be the next day).
Where: Heaven
Cost of entry: £1
Drink specials: Shots for £1, bottles £1.50 and doubles £2.50
Party vibe: The Pink Pound night is definitely where the parties at. Mega cheap drinks (hello, £1 shots) and commercial, r’n’b and chart music to get your feet moving. If you think the £1 entry is a bit much (it really isn’t by the way) they have free entry from Sunday to Wednesday before 1am.
FRIDAY
Where: Medication at the Arts Club
Cost of entry: £6.60 including booking fee
Party vibe: It’s been a long, tough week. You’ve attended every single one of your lectures but it’s taken its toll. You need some Medication. Release the stress at the iconic student night, but beware it can get pretty wild at the Arts Club. Stock up on that paracetamol for the next day.
SATURDAY
Where: Rage Saturdays at The Krazyhouse
Drink specials: Most drinks are 2 for 1
Party vibe: Got a big group to please? Well, The Krazyhouse is definitely the one for you. Split over three floors you can go from metal to indie to chart without breaking a sweat. Okay, you’ll probably be pretty sweaty from all the dancing and singing but you know what we mean.
