If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a rowing boat or kayak and head out on the boating lake.

There are many hidden gems in Nottingham, but Secret Garden has got to be one of our faves and one of the best places to enjoy the sun and watch the sunset after exams. There may be only one or two weeks a year when most of us are foolhardy enough to jump into outdoor waters, so make the most of it while you can. It’s got a wholesome kind of feel, which after the stress of studying is actually what we need!

9. The Organ Grinder

The Organ Grinder is a winner all year round. During the winter you can enjoy its log fire and homely feel but during the summer it’s time to get yourself outside and enjoy the sun after exams. The pub boasts a quaint roof garden, which is great for daytime drinking with mates. Or get there just before sunset, where you can enjoy it with one of the finest selections of beers in Nottingham.

Holme Pierrepont Hall was built in 1500 by Sir William Pierrepont (presumably not all by himself) and has been lived in by his descendants ever since. We all love to poke around other people’s houses and it doesn’t get much more interesting than this. So take a trip to Holme Pierrepont Hall – it’s one of the best places to enjoy the sun after exams in Nottingham.
