Clubbing is usually a major part of everyone’s university experience. In fact, one of the best things about being a Londoner is experiencing the city’s booming nightlife. However, the bragging rights that come with being able to enjoy some of the best clubs in London don’t come cheap, unfortunately.

Most people associate clubbing with massive cash loss and in London, this isn’t far from the truth. With many students relying on part-time jobs and their loans, hitting the London nightlife can sometimes leave a bitter taste in your mouth as well as your pocket!

Entry costs can be very expensive – especially when racing to buy early bird tickets. Spending so much is a sure impediment to the fun. However, this doesn’t have to be the case.

So, what are the best free entry clubs in London?

In no particular order, we proudly present to you the best free entry clubs in London, showing that you can have a great night out without breaking the bank. Do we have your attention? Well, read on to find out more.

Clapham Grand

Location: The Clapham Grand, 21-25 St. John’s Hill, Clapham Junction, London SW11 1TT.

Okay, this one isn’t exactly free but at £1 who’s complaining? One of Clapham’s most iconic clubs, this South London venue has a lot going for it.  The Grand is a widely successful nightclub that has hosted the likes of Jimmy Carr and Russell Howard.

Appealing to a wide demographic with its diverse resident DJs, the Grand is certainly a special place.

Saturday’s, in particular, are not to be missed. A classical looking venue, the Grand’s Victorian-era interior juxtaposes beautifully with the rousing music and overall vibe of the place. You are bound to have a night to remember (and it’s only an 8-minute walk from London Victoria) making it easy to get to.

Closed due to the pandemic, the Grand is looking to return in late 2022. Be sure to keep a look out for its reopening!

Queen of Hoxton

The Queen of Hoxton is one of our favourite rooftop bars in London. There’s so much to appreciate here from the views to the dazzling variety of music divided on each of its four floors.

A cool, chic spot – you won’t believe us when we say this bar is free entry! Its beautiful cherry blossom garden is a prime location for well-versed brunch-goers and nightlife equally. The Queen of Hoxton may well be London’s best free entry club.

Operating on a first-come, first-serve basis, booking is recommended – it’s that good.
