With less than two weeks until Christmas, we are all itching to do as many Christmassy activities as possible. Up until the 24th December, Ashton Court Estate will be lighting up its massive grounds to offer you a beautiful illuminated walking experience. For £16 on weekdays and £17 on weekends, you will be able to stroll around Ashton Court guided by their 45 minute light trail. There will also be plenty of festive food and drink on offer from various vendors, so you can admire the gardens whilst sipping on a mulled wine or hot chocolate to keep you warm.

Bristol City Centre’s ‘#ChristmasADVENTures’

If you are looking for a more adventurous way to enjoy the Christmas lights, you will want to head to Bristol’s city centre. From the 1st till 28th December, as part of the Bristol festive art’s BID project, various famous buildings and landmarks will have our most cherished Christmas sayings and lyrics projected onto them. Going out to spot the light displays is a great and refreshing way to explore the city, and best of all, it’s free! Avon Valley Christmas Light Trail

If going to see the Christmas light displays means going all out, then you need to get down to the Avon Valley Christmas Lights Trail. With Avon Valley putting on Christmas lights, a polar express train ride, an ice-skating rink, festive funfair and a Santa letter writing service, there is no doubt that it will be a Christmas bonanza! What’s more, it won’t be a trek to access all this festive fun as it will only take you a 25-minute drive from the city centre. The Clifton Village Christmas Tree

For a calmer yet just as magical Christmas light display experience, look no further than Clifton Village. Already a picturesque village, lit up and with its signature Christmas Tree in The Mall Gardens standing tall, Clifton Village is truly beautiful. If you go on Saturday, you will also be able to catch the carol singers whilst enjoying a warm cup of mulled wine.

For a classic night out to admire the Christmas light displays, going to the vibrant Christmas markets at Cabot Circus and Millennium Square is a great option.
