Who doesn’t love karaoke? It’s the perfect occasion to sing your heart out, no matter how good or bad you are! You just need to make sure you’re in the right place…i.e. not in your local pub while everyone else is watching the football or some swanky, sophisticated bar. So if you’re looking for karaoke bars in Swansea where you can truly let loose, here are a few of our favourite ones!
The best Swansea karaoke bars
Looking for the best Swansea karaoke bars to hit with your friends? Whether you feel like belting out those cheesy tunes, dueting to Robbie Williams and Kylie or simply being a karaoke spectator, we got you!
No matter your choice, here are some of our favourite Swansea karaoke bars to add to your karaoke bar crawl! That’s a thing, right?
1. Hogarth’s
If you’re looking for a centrally-located place for karaoke then Hogarth’s is a good choice. It’s not only a great place to sing or watch sports, it’s also one of the best gin bars in Swansea. They do a karaoke night every Sunday, from 7:30 right up until they close at 12am. Their karaoke nights are always fun, as they have a decent stage to sing on and always loads of people singing! It’s also hosted by drag queens sometimes, which is perfect for a good night out. Hogarth’s also hosts karaoke on Wednesday night occasionally for student night, so head on down there and get singing!
Address: 2-3 St Mary St, Swansea SA1 3LH
2. Bambu
Although Bambu don’t host karaoke nights, they do have their own karaoke booths which you can book out privately for yourself and some friends! Their booths hold up to 20 people, which is perfect for parties and big nights out. You can order drinks to your booth all night long, and you can even book your karaoke booth as a package to come with some drinks as well. As you have to book it, you do have to pay, and so it can be pretty expensive if there are a few of you going.
Address: 51-52 Wind St, Swansea SA1 1EJ
3. Popworld
Popstar karaoke night takes place every Tuesday at Popworld. If you’re looking to sing all night, then this is the place for you, as their karaoke nights start at 9pm and end at 3am! It’s also a cheap night out, as it’s 2-4-1 ‘pop-tails’ all night, and you get free entry with drinks starting at £2.25! On top of this, they even offer prizes for the best karaoke singers! Third place gets a bottle of bubbly, second place wins you a partini cocktail sharer, and if you get first place you’ll win a £50 bar tab!
Address: 2 Wind St, Swansea SA1 1DE
4. JC’s
JC’s is the student bar on Singleton campus, so obviously it’s a popular place amongst students for karaoke. Their karaoke nights happen on Fridays, and it’s personally one of my favourite places to go. They have almost every song under the sun, so they’ll definitely have whatever song you want to sing. The atmosphere during karaoke nights is the best, as everyone sings along with you. JC’s also do drageoke nights, which is hosted by drag queens. These nights are pretty fun as there are usually some games to play in-between songs! Karaoke nights usually start at 8 and finished at 12, so it’s a great place to get your Friday nights started!
Address: Sketty, Swansea SA2 8PP
5. Copr bar
Copr is a great karaoke bar in Swansea and one of every student’s favourite places to visit. They host their karaoke nights on Fridays, which start around 8:30 and finish at 12am. They sell local craft beer, pizza, and other drinks and food as well, so if you’re looking for a chill night or wanting to go somewhere to drink, Copr is for any occasion. Copr also have a games room downstairs, with a pool table, table-tennis, foosball and a couple of consoles as well!
Address: 38-39 Castle St, Swansea, SA1 1HZ
6. Crosskeys
Crosskeys is a bar in Swansea that’s been around for ages, and now they host karaoke nights every Sunday! This starts at 6pm and goes on until closing at 12am, so you can sing all night if that’s what you’re looking for! Although it’s not known as a student bar, there’s still plenty of students who go there, so just keep that in mind if you’re planning on visiting!
