1. The Roundhill

The Roundhill is a vegan pub which offers Sunday roasts from 12 pm til 5 pm every week. You can choose between a nut roast, roasted red pepper & courgette filo pastry, or minted seitan ‘lamb’. All of these come with herby garlic roasted potatoes, maple glazed parsnips, braised red cabbage & beetroot, cauliflower cheese, carrot & swede mash, tenderstem broccoli, Yorkshire pudding and a red wine jus. You can add creamy cheesy leeks and stuffing to your meal too for an extra cost.

Plus, these roasts are only £13 – £13.50!

2. The Ginger Pig

The Ginger Pig is a hotel restaurant in Hove, and their Sunday roast menu has a variety of choices. You can get a roast sirloin of beef with all the trimmings, chicken and ham hock pie with mash and broccoli, plaice with new potatoes and broccoli, or strudel with piquillo pepper and veg.

The Ginger Pig’s prices range from £13.50 to £16.50.

3. The Ladies Mile Pub

The Ladies Mile up in Patcham offers a range of choices when it comes to roast dinners. You can choose from pork belly, beef rump, chicken supreme, leg of lamb, vegetarian wellington or a nut roast (all of which also come in kids portions). These are served alongside garlic and herb roast potatoes, glazed beetroot and carrots, root veg mash, cauliflower cheese, buttered greens, homemade gravy and a Yorkshire pudding. As if that wasn’t enough, they have a range of desserts too – including a Biscoff cheesecake!

4. The Geese of Hanover

Normally focussed on bangers and mash, The Geese of Hanover sacrifices Sundays in order to create one of the best Sunday roasts in Brighton and Hove. They offer a choice of roast leg of lamb, slow roast pork belly, rump of need, garlic and thyme roast chicken. All of which come with roasties, a giant yorkie, seasonal veg and ‘proper gravy’. Or, if you’d rather a veggie or vegan option, you can pick from a mushroom and root vegetable wellington or a vegan sausage roast. They also offer additional sides such as pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, and extra roasties or veg.

5. The Lion and Lobster

A lovely quaint restaurant and pub, The Lion and Lobster spans three stories, including a roof terrace. It is within walking distance from the city centre and the seafront – making it the ideal location to stop for a Sunday roast. You can choose from thyme and horseradish marinated beef, slow-roasted pork belly, roast chicken and stuffing, roasted squash and mushroom wellington or slow-roasted lamb. These are all served with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, broccoli and cabbage, as well as gravy. If you can’t pick a meat, you can go half and half on everything put the lamb! 6. The Sussex Yeoman

On their sample Sunday roast menu, the Yeoman offers choices like a leg of lamb, chicken and bread sauce, venison, topside of beef, slow roast, roast butternut squash or roast sweet potato. These are all accompanied by seasonal veg, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy.

7. The Black Lion

You can choose between thyme roasted chicken with cranberry and bacon stuffing, thyme and pink peppercorn roast sirloin of beef, ox cheek, slow roast pork belly with crackling, rolled shoulder of British lamb, portobello mushroom wellington, wild mushroom wellington or their guest roast of the week. The Walrus is a beautiful restaurant in the winding alleys by the seafront, and they offer various Sunday roasts. You can choose form 28 day sirloin beef, pork belly with crackling, free-range turkey with pork and sage stuffing, slow-roasted lamb shoulder, vegan mushroom wellington or brie and mushroom wellington. All come with parsley and lemon roast potatoes, roast carrots, red cabbage, seasonal greens, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. You can add cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets for extra cost.

9. The Dorset

In the middle of the North Laine, The Dorset sells gorgeously cooked and presented roasts. You can choose from rump of beef, roast chicken or roast portobello tart. You can add cauliflower cheese, but they come with roast potatoes, roast parsnip, seasonal veg, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.
