It’s trying to narrow it down to the one that’s difficult. That’s why we’ve put together the best student halls in Manchester to help you decide!

Don’t forget that as well as university-owned accommodation, there are private halls like Unite Students who have 11 properties to choose from in the city! Here are some of the best student halls for freshers at Manchester Metropolitan University and The University of Manchester.

Private Halls 

Picadilly Point

Picadilly Point is home to a whopping 588 students and offers modern and attractive student accommodation within the city centre. Both universities are easy to get to, making it the perfect place for any student in the city. There are 2 types of room to choose from, ensuite with shared kitchen, or completely independent studio rooms. Either way, you get access to the common room with a pool table and comfy sofas, a study area and a gym. All of this, just a minute away from Picadilly train station. Prices start at £165 per week.

Manchester Court 

In the middle of the bustling city centre, Manchester Court is perfect for students at either university. You can choose from a range of rooms, whether it’s a Gold 4-bed apartment or a more private studio, every room has a comfy bed, study area, storage space and access to a modern kitchen and television. Cambridge House 

Just over the road from Manchester Met and a 10-minute walk from the University of Manchester, Cambridge House is an ideal location, based just minutes away from lectures and a short distance from all the great shops in the city centre. The rooms are arranged in flats of 5 or 6 bedrooms with ensuites and a shared kitchen/lounge area. Students can choose between a 42 or 51-week contract, and prices start at £164 per week.

Also in high demand, Richmond Park is on the Fallowfield campus, giving it a diverse community and urban feel. Canterbury Court is on Victoria Park campus, and is near to both bus routes and the University, as well as being relatively close to the city centre. Each flat has around 10 people with a spacious lounge and kitchen, and each room has its own private ensuite. Prices start at £153.50 per week.

Opening for the first time in September 2021, Archway has flats of 8 bedrooms with ensuites, shared kitchens, plenty of storage, and modern furnishings. Each flat has approximately 13 rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, or there are ensuite studio flats available.
