This fancy dress shop is a student favourite due to its variety and location on Division Street, right in the city centre. They sell a range of decorations and costumes and are described as friendly and helpful by reviewers.

3. Charity Shops

Charity shops should be your go-to for getting fancy dress. Often, there’s loads of choice from people’s Halloween rejects. But it’s also a great option if you’re going as a film character or celebrity as they often have loads of unique clothes. Check out Crookes, Broomhill and the City Centre and tour their charity shops to see for yourself.

4. Vintage Shops

8UHHead to the city centre to browse Sheffield’s vintage shops which are a great option for retro outfits. Our favourites are COW on West Street and Vulgar on Division Street. Vintage can be pricey but remember that your outfit doesn’t have to be a one-hit-wonder. It’s a good idea to invest in something really cool that you’ll wear again. So if it’s Eleven from Stranger Things or ABBA you’re dressing up as, vintage is the way to go.

Or, make your own!

In recent years there has been a global drive towards sustainability, and one of the biggest culprits are costumes because you wear them once and throw them away. Instead, why not create something from what you already own? Make a vampire’s cape out of a bin bag or use your bedsheet to become a ghost!

Whatever you’re going as you’ll definitely find the perfect costume in Sheffield.
